Chapter 3: The Birth of Shadow
One night, while patrolling near the old ruins outside the city, Cid found a girl lying motionless in the mud her body twisted by a terrible curse.
He carried her to an abandoned chapel and spent two weeks researching the corruption in her blood. Using forgotten magic and his own essence of shadow, he purified the curse and restored her soul.
When she awoke, her golden eyes widened in awe.
> "Who… are you?"
He stepped back into the moonlight.
> "I am Shadow."
And so, Shadow Garden was born.
Cid told her stories of a hidden cult The Cult of demons, an ancient evil seeking to resurrect a Demon Lord who once ruled the world. He thought it was a story, a fantasy to make his new group sound cool.
But the Cult of Diablos was real.
