Chapter 11 - FEELING INSULTED

Tricia POV

I wondered the reason he took the picture, but before I could speak, Morgan clarified to me, "We would be getting married next, that is in some days, so this is our premarital picture."

The last word he said made me think. Why do we need a premarital picture when we won't be having any other guests other than the young men here?

"You do not need to worry," he said making me sigh.

I decided to ask him what they were discussing before I arrived, but instead of answering, they all snubbed me, going their separate ways. A smile appeared on my face as I saw that even Morgan had left me.

I fumbled with my fingers as I remained seated. They were annoying and all I wanted right now was to be alone. It would be better if I am alone with my husband. Happiness wore on me as I remembered we would be moving the next day.

A man walked to the couch opposite me, and I tried to speak with him, but he snubbed me by pressing his phone.

"What wrong have I done?" I inquired. "Is it because I am with your boss?"

I held my breath. They all were irritating. Morgan was their top, and he irritated me a lot. He was cool and caring to me, but with me being suspicious of him, it just made it irritating.

The following morning, there was a knock on the door and I got up from the bed. I looked at the couch and didn't see Morgan there.

"Morgan!" I called pulling on to the jacket I wore throughout the night.

Morgan wore a smile pulling the door wide open. I tried asking him where he slept during the night, but he avoided my question.

"You should get ready for today," he said then walked to the door. "We would be leaving two hours from now."

I smiled as I remembered what he had said. We would be leaving here for our house. It's going to be fun.

I traced my step to the bathroom as Morgan had shown me the last day. After dressing, I packed my hair nearly and walked out.

Getting down the stairs, they were all seated around a circular table, and a chair was left. None of them had touched their meal and I felt that they were all waiting for me as they all stared at me.

I walked to take my seat on the empty chair which was beside Morgan. Morgan sighed, rubbing his hands together.

"As you all know, I will be leaving with my wife," he placed his hand across my shoulder. "We will be going to our house and will get to see ourselves next week, our ceremony."

He smiled looking at me. Two men clapped as he spoke. Bernard raised his hand up and was given the liberty to speak.

What Bernard said made my heartbeat. He asked about their next mission but Morgan dismissed it. I knew Morgan didn't want me to know about the mission, but all sorts of thoughts flew in my mind. Could it be a deadly mission?

"Let's all eat," Morgan said and we concentrated on what we were eating.

After eating, I went up to get my bag of clothes but couldn't find it. I looked everywhere but still couldn't find it. The door opened and Morgan walked in.

"Miguel Field called while you were asleep," he said.

What did he say? Miguel? I wasn't sure of what I heard. How did Morgan get a hold of my phone?

Like he could read my thoughts, Morgan sat by my side and told me how the phone call interrupted his sleep. I didn't expect the next word I heard, Morgan told him about our marriage.

"You invited him?" I asked.

"Yes, I did," he said. "Are you scared?"

"No," I said shaking my head.

Morgan got up to his feet and told me that my bag had been taken to the car. I got down the bed and followed him. My mind was worried about what Morgan told me.

He invited Miguel to our marriage, why? Did he know who Miguel was to me?

Sluggishly, I walked out of the room to the living room. I looked around the house. One would think I would miss the house, but it was not so. I was happy that we were leaving the house.

Getting out of the house, I saw the jeep that brought us here from Alex's house. Morgan didn't behave like I was his wife. He didn't look at me.

I saw how he got into the jeep without caring. I also got into the jeep and stared out. It was good that we were leaving that house. Although we didn't stay two days, it's best.

The jeep started moving, and all I could pray for was a healthy life with Morgan. Soon the jeep stopped in front of a gate. The gate opened, allowing the jeep to enter.

"This is beautiful," I said as I saw the exterior of the building. I could not believe that this was where I would be living with Morgan.

"Let's go," he said looking at me.

I obeyed and opened the jeep door. Hand in hand, we walked to the building. The man who brought us to the building dropped the key and walked out of the gate.

Morgan and I walked into the house. The interior looked more beautiful than the exterior.

Morgan left me, walking up the stairs. I sat on a couch looking around.

"You should get yourself cleaned," Morgan said.

I turned my eyes to him and I could see that he wore a smirk. I smiled at him not knowing what to do next.

"Where?" I asked. He pointed to a room down and told me that it would be my bathroom.

I nodded and walked to the room. It was a small bathroom and I couldn't believe I would be taking my bath here.

I walked to the living room, angry.
