Yuri explained about the type of creatures that dwell in this area:
"These mountains consist of thousands of Grade 3 and 2 creatures, hundreds of Grade 1, and a few above Grade 1. Even some earth dragons live here, and dark entities also dwell in this place."
There are three types of dark entities in this world:
First, those that come from the Void. The Void is space.
Second, those that come from the Abyss. The Abyss is a god created by humans. Human dark emotions turned into the god known as the Abyss.
Third, when the Dragon of Darkness died, his rotted flesh mutated into dark entities. (This will be fully explained later.)
The next morning, Rin and the others packed everything they needed and were ready to enter the Dread Mountains.
When they took their first step into the area, the surroundings became darker, and there were abnormal trees about 30 to 40 meters tall.
There were many abandoned and destroyed buildings around the area.
Sam spoke, "People actually lived in a dreadful place like this before?"
Rin entered a half-destroyed building and found an emblem.
Rin spoke, "What is this? A sword with an X symbol."
Yuri replied, "I am just a low-ranking officer. I don't know what that symbol means."
Yuri said, "Let's stay in this building for the night. It is not fully destroyed compared to the other buildings."
Rin agreed to Yuri's suggestion because he was not familiar with the Dread Mountains.
Night arrived. Yuri spoke,
"You can't sleep at night because there are dark entities that travel through the dream world to corrupt your dreams and eventually take control of your body."
Even Rin was a little afraid when he heard that.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. Sam jumped into Rin's arms in fright.
