Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

The next morning, resisting the urge to run, Lune stayed in her seat after her history lesson. Her etiquette tutor, not expecting her to be there, waltzed past the tutoring room to go look for her but stopped short in his tracks when he saw a head full of white locks in his peripheral vision. Pleased that the princess had finally come to her senses, Lune's etiquette tutor waltzed into the one woman classroom with a pleased smile.

"Have you finally realised that your coming of age ball is coming soon?" Lune's etiquette tutor said with a smile.

Gritting her teeth, Lune turned her attention to the slender man who wore a large back over coat, over a black vest with white lines at the rim with a white shirt and a black bowtie underneath. He also wore black trousers, black shoes, a pair of white gloves and had his black hair slicked with white rimmed spectacles on top of his pair of orange eyes.

Clearing her throat, Lune said "I have come to realise the importance of my coming of age ball and in order not to sully the Castilla name, I Lune Castilla promise to do my hardest to carry myself with nothing less than utmost grace." Lune said with false conviction.

"Excellent young one!" Lune's etiquette tutor said clapping.

"It is your second appearance in front of other dignitaries in Alvonia." Lune's etiquette tutor said with a flourish.

"Your first appearance was when you were about a year old so I am sure that everyone is buzzing with excitement to see who you have become." Lune's etiquette tutor said with excitement.

"They will pick you apart from the way you eat to the way you walk and I would rather be deployed to Pyrah without protection than let them mock my student." Lune's etiquette tutor said snapping a ruler in his hands.

"From this moment on, I am going to drill as much information as I can get into you and you better not go missing this time." Lune's etiquette teacher said with a crazy glint in his eyes.

Escaping into her thinkering room just after enduring hours in that classroom, Lune slammed the doors shut and used her body to block it. Down the hall Lune could hear her etiquette tutor, trying to bribe the royal guards to get to her. With her heart in her throat, Lune strained her ears and once she was sure her etiquette tutor was truly gone, Lune let out a sigh of relief.

"Wow!" Pyralex exclaimed from his seat infront of Lune's work bench.

"Your etiquette tutor can put the fear of the Goddess in the King himself." Pyralex said floating berries into his mouth.

"He is a tyrant!" Lune exclaimed by the door of her thinkering room.

"He doesn't rest till every micro action is perfect. I have been learning to curtsy for the hundredth time!" Lune exploded and Pyralex laughed.

"It is so nice to see you act your age from time to time." Pyralex said, wiping his lips with a handkerchief.

"Now come this way." Pyralex said, gesturing to the chair in front of him.

"Did you give any thought to what I meant when I said that despite having a weapon like mine the wielder is not able to control all four elements at will." Pyralex said as Lune took a seat.

"I thought about it, but I still don't understand." said Lune.

"Your weapon contains all four blessings of the spirit, why would any wielder not be able to control the blessings at will?" asked Lune.

Pyralex hummed before saying "Do you remember me, asking you if attunement is something that can evolve or something we were blessed with at birth?"
