Soulless raised his eyebrows, he asked. "Are you being for real? I can finally go to the human world!"
"I know you've been working a lot...but this isn't a vacation, Soulless." Jago nodded and replied. "This is strictly business though Soulless, you are still a member of our army and an assassin for The Queen."
Soulless pumped his fist and nearly jumped up in excitement, feeling a thrill of joy that he hadn't felt in years since The Queen gave him permission to explore the realms as a child.
He learned quickly from exploring the realms that he was raised in the safest part of all the demon realms. Now, he would learn more about the human world from experience instead of just books in the library.
Jago gave the giddy teenager a worried expression.
"It's a special class mission kid, so don't wonder off like you usually do. Our threat is expected to be stronger than the demons here in The Third Realm. You are already aware that demons are the biggest enemy to The Animal Kingdom."
When Soulless was six years old, he found a book in the library about history of all three demon realms and Hell. The Animal Kingdom relocated into The First Realm after The Great Demon Wars, leaving the demi humans to occupy The Second Realm, and the last remaining demons in The Third Realm right before you reached the gate to Hell.
"Technically...I can't give you too much intel regarding our mission so don't ask any questions. We have two objectives...to assassinate one demon and to bring the other demon back alive for investigation. There's been speculation of The Demon Lord becoming a being of divinity for the past decade...but we believe we may finally have the strength to face Valeur now. Your system could potentially surpass even Divine Gods, Soulless."
Jago handed the young man a picture, giving him a visual of the demon he was supposed to assassinate. She was a pale skinned skinny woman with long black hair, a demon with sharp teeth and nails to go along. On the bottom left of the photo was the name of the demon, Luxa.
"Surpass divinity..." Soulless paused, his mind filled with thoughts of divine beings who created all universes. "But divine energy is the apex spiritual prowess...I could never surpass that without any spiritual energy."
"You are the first being on record with your technique..." Jago replied. "You're not just the abandoned child, you are the chosen one that could defeat that grotesque demon lord. Queen Midori has high hopes for you Soulless...and she's entrusting you with her special ability for this mission."
Jago and Tito came together to perform a summoning technique, bringing forth Queen Midori before leaving for their mission.
The Queen stood a foot under Soulless, just about sixty inches tall in height and one-hundred twenty pounds in weight. She was a black panther with violet spiritual aura, wearing the crown of a queen on her head.
"Soulless...I would like to personally thank you for lending us your hand throughout the years. You have saved countless of lives...so I wish to repay you with apart of my soul. I know that you don't obtain your own soul...but I know that you obtain the system. Maybe you can store it for whenever it's needed...please have a piece of my spirit for yourself."
Soulless opened his eyes widen at the offer and an unimaginable joy rushed through him. He was born as the child with no soul but was being offered a piece of the most powerful spirit in The Animal Kingdom.
Queen Midori created a ball of energy in her hand, meeting eyes with the blushing young man. He didn't know how to react since he was just doing his job for the last decade, but he didn't take account for the thousands of animals saved from the stage.
"Please." Queen Midori grinned slightly to ease him and extended her hand out to him in offering of her soul. "It's just about twenty percent of my spiritual prowess...but it's something."
Wow! So, Queen Midori is really willing to operate on eighty perfect for the rest of her life! I never expected anything like this as repayment for fighting against something sent to kill us, especially since they raised me without any abuse or slavery!
"I... I'm so grateful Queen Midori." Soulless looked at her with a thrilling smile, accepting the offer of her spiritual prowess. "Thank you Queen, I shall use it wisely for the rest of my life!"
"Right!"
Queen Midori placed her spirit inside the teenage boy's chest, allowing him to absorb the energy and obtain a small portion of her spiritual prowess.
The violet colored aura surfaced around Soulless for a moment before the system stored his new technique.
The black screen popped up after the absorption, white words were written on the screen to describe the ability.
You have acquired Midori's Animal Kingdom Energy. Would you like to try it now or keep in your storage?
Soulless answered. "Storage."
The ability is now placed in your storage.
Queen Midori wrapped her arms around him and pulled him tightly for a hug.
He felt no difference or change at all in himself, assuming the change would only happen when activated from his storage. Meaning that others would still see him as soulless and wouldn't know he contained her spiritual prowess until it was activated.
Tito approached the Queen, he asked. "Are you ready, Your Majesty?"
Queen Midori wished them each luck one by one, delivering a brief prayer to the divine gods for their safe return.
"Like I said...I'm counting on you, Soulless. May The Divine Lords be with you."
The Queen waved goodbye and used teleportation to arrive back at her castle.
Tito, the wolfman, was the first to exit through the portal.
Jago stood aside and gestured for Soulless to enter the portal next, entering as last of their trio for the mission.
Soulless didn't expect to arrive somewhere just dark as the demon realms, but he was quickly informed by Tito they weren't yet in the human world. There was a space between the demon realms and human world, different portals surrounded the realm.
"This place is called Hell's Gate, because demons and other supernatural creatures like ourselves come here for The Demon Realms." Tito explained. "We'll be making our way to our destination now, follow me through this way to the portal!"
Hell's Gate, this place is pretty dark and evil looking...and I'm guessing those different portals lead to separate worlds.
Tito, Jago, and Soulless transported to another location, this time arriving on a planet with forms of life that Soulless had never seen before.
He spent his entire life in the demon realms, away from green grass, trees, white clouds, suns and moons. The sight of planetary life left the young man in a state of shock, observing the beauty of the human world for the first time in his life.
"Soulless!" Jago shouted, grabbing the young man's attention from the admiration. "Prepare yourself, we have company!"
Three beings with an exceptional spiritual essence arrive, each of their auras glowed a white and silver hue around their physiques. The only spiritual energy that glowed white and silver was divine energy, the most powerful form of energy in history.
"Divinity!" Tito shouted and armed himself with an energy blade created from his bare hands. "Arm yourselves!"
Jago created an energy blade for defense as well, and Soulless opened his menu to summon a dagger blade in his hand.
All three divine beings wore white cloaks with blue designs, two of them were women and one male that was much taller than them.
That man stepped forward with little hesitation in his movement, he grinned and glared at the two demons.
Soulless could feel the unbearable spirit pressure of the divine beings, being weighed down from the intensity of power. The Divine Gods felt their spiritual pressure soon as they arrived on the land and confronted them immediately.
"I am Yohel, oldest child of Mother Fushia." The divine being spoke while slowly approaching the trio. "You are trespassing on our sacred grounds...leave or die."
