They were beautiful. All three of them. The kind of aggressive, calculated beauty that took hours of effort to achieve and was designed specifically to catch male attention.
The one in front was tall, blonde, with legs that seemed to go on forever beneath a dress that was definitely not appropriate for a morning walk in the gardens. Her makeup was flawless, her hair styled in perfect waves, her nails painted blood red.
She looked like she'd stepped out of a fashion magazine.
She bowed at me in a sudden moment , dipping her head slightly in mocking reverence, "all hail the Luna who was chosen by the moon goddess herself "
The two women beside her laughed high, tinkling sounds that set my teeth on edge.
I didn't move from the bench. Didn't give them the satisfaction of seeing me flinch.
