We burst through the medical wing doors like wolves on a hunt, all three of us moving with the kind of desperate urgency that made the few staff members present scatter out of our way.
Dr. Reeves met us in the corridor, her expression tight with tension.
"She's conscious," the doctor reported quickly. "But disoriented. Aggressive. I need you to understand, she woke up faster than expected, and she's not... stable."
"Is she still feral?" Kade demanded.
"I don't think so. Her wolf isn't in control. But—" Dr. Reeves hesitated. "She's confused. Frightened. And when one of the nurses tried to check her vitals, she nearly broke the woman's wrist."
Of course she did.
Nessa had woken up in a strange place, pumped full of drugs, with no memory of how she got there. And the first thing that happened was someone touching her without permission.
"Where is she now?" Maddox asked
