I massaged my forehead, trying to ease the tension radiating through my skull. The pounding headache that had been building since Daniel collapsed in my office now felt like a vice crushing my temples.
The metallic scent of blood still filled my office,Daniel's blood, dried now on the floor, staining the expensive rug my mother had imported from the Eastern territories. No amount of cleaning would ever get that stainl out completely.
