It's been a few days since Joe and Lena joined Ethan.
Currently all 3 of them are discussing the most important and urgent problem they were facesing.
"We are running out of food and water," "Joe said.
The food and water Ethan had could last him around 10 days if rationed properly, but due to the arrival of Joe and Lena, the food and water were running low.
Unlike what Ethan thought, he didn't regret letting Joe in.
Joe was a pretty fun and easygoing guy.
Talking with Joe, Ethan managed to get some information about this world.
The apocalypse started around a month ago. No one had any idea how this happened on a global scale in such a small time or even knew the origin of the virus or whatever it was.
But there was an earthquake a few days before the apocalypse.
After knowing about the earthquake, Ethan thought of a possible theory to explain the apocalypse, but nothing was for sure.
Currently they were in a place called the central city.
It was called a city but was bigger than any city in Ethan's old world.
Spanning about 102309 square kilometers, the central city was a place built by the United Nations and many other countries.
For reference, the biggest city size-wise, as far as Ethan knew, was Chongqing, China, at
82,403 square kilometers, and the central city was even larger.
Even population-wise, the central city was larger than any city in his previous world, with a population of 45 million.
Ethan also heard the names of many countries that didn't exist in his old world.
It was also in the center of the world, hence the name central ciry.
It was a trade hub and was a land of opportunities, so everyone wanted to come here, hence the large population.
Currently they were in a large apartment building a bit far away from the heart of the city.

Need to say Joe's presence had been a huge help for Ethan.
The same couldn't be said for Lena.
Ethan's first impression of Lena was not good.
But her current impression for Ethan could be described in a single word: "bitch".
She commanded him like he was in her place eating her food.
Lena was arrogant, and Ethan didn't like her a bit; due to the presence of Joe, he couldn't do anything to her.
Joe always apologized to him for Lena's behavior and disrespect.
If Joe were not here, Ethan would have shown that bitch who was boss. She did have a pretty face and figure.
Before Ethan's thoughts could go any darker, Joe's voice snapped him out of it.
Ethan, are you listening? Joe said.
Yeah, sorry, I was spacing out again. Could you explain the plan again?
"In such a serious time, you are spacing out. You are such a burden for Joe". Lena said.
Ethan really wanted to slap this useless bitch.
Who was she to call him a burden? The word burden made him remember something of this past that he didn't like.
His eyes grew cold, and he said to Lena, "Miss Lena, please mind your tongue. I am not the one that ate most of our food like a pig here."
Who are you calling a pig, you brat? Lena roared in anger.
Before the situation could escalate, Joe stopped them.
Both of you quiet down. We have more important matters at hand.
After which Joe explained the plan again to Ethan.
The plan was simple: going to the nearby apartments and collecting food, water, and other resources from there.
Joe wanted Ethan and him to go to different apartments to cover more ground, but Ethan refused, saying that it would be safer for both of them to stick together and go to apartments one by one.
Ethan said this for his own safety more than anything. He was could not be sure that he would not freeze up after seeing a zombie and having someone like Joe around would be a great help.
And now you could see both Ethan and Joe in front of the door, ready to go out.
Lena would be in the apartment to protect it, something Ethan had no problem with, as he knew that bringing her with them would be more of a burden than help.
