"This is the boy, lord Tsuchikage." The Chunin teacher said as he brought Kagami to Onoki.
"So you must be the kid capable of performing two entry-level jutsu at a fast speed," Onoki said as he looked at Kagami.
"I heard both of your parents are dead. So have you ever been trained by someone close to you?" Onoki asked.
"No. There are a lot of people who are nice to me but there is no one who is there to teach me anything." He replied.
That makes sense. Most of his possible relatives are already expelled from the village. It would be shocking if there were someone who knew about his identity and got close enough to him to want to train him.
"So boy, can you show me use one of your jutsu?" Onoki asked.
Kagami nodded and immediately used hand signs to perform the transformation jutsu.
"Not the fastest but definitely very fast. And you have not had any prior training before, right? Interesting." Onoki said as he looked around Kagami's body since the boy had transformed into an identical copy of himself.
"The transformation jutsu still has some work to do but this should fool even some jonins in terms of appearance." Onoki complemented Kagami.
Jonins are the highest rank a shinobi can reach, other than the Kage title which is supposed to be the leader of an entire village so it was a very high praise that one can receive.
"Lord Tsuchikage?" Kagami called out.
"How are you moving without touching the ground?" Kagami asked.
"You see Lord Tsuchikage has mastered earth release to a point where he can defy gravity itself." The chunin teacher praised Onoki.
"I see. Can I do that in the future too?" Kagami asked.
"This is a technique that anybody can learn but only a few can master it. From my knowledge, only the first and the second Tsuchikage have mastered it before me. So forget it." Onoki said to Kagami.
"Most of the powerful ninjas in our village can use the same jutsu as Lord Tsuchikage since it is not that high a rank of a jutsu but only the tsuchikages have mastered it to the point that they can use it to soar through the sky." The Chunin teacher explained to Kagami.
"But it is still possible, right?" Kagami asked again.
"Since you are just a Chunin who normally teaches kids you should not know lightweight technique, am I right?" Onoki asked the Chunin teacher.
"You are right, lord Tsuchikage. I have no experience with such a technique." the Chunin teacher replied.
"Hmmm. Then it seems that you have to practice the technique yourself." Onoki said to Kagami.
"You. Prepare a scroll with the lightweight technique and a Genin headband. And give it to this boy tomorrow." Onoki commanded the Chunin teacher.
"And boy from now on you are officially a Shinobi. Come and find me after you can confidently say you have mastered the light-weighted technique." Onoki said to Kagami.
"I don't expect you to be able to fly but you should be at least able to lift up a small boulder within a few weeks. I wanted to see if you could master such a jutsu without anyone guiding you." Onoki explained.
This was his test to see if Kagami was really a genius worth cultivating or just a slightly talented Ninja with limited growth.
If Kagami failed he would be assigned to a three-man Jonin team to hone his skill and would lose the chance of being personally trained by the Tsuchikage himself.
