Chapter 4 - The clan that was Banished

"A child named Ichikawa who can perform hand signs at a very fast speed." the old man who was sitting said as he looked at the chunin teacher who was kneeling in front of him.

His name was Onoki and he was what is referred to as the Tsuchikage, the leader of the stone village and considered to be the strongest ninja in the village.

"Ichikawa. It's been a long time since I heard that name. Since that clan is banished from the village." Onoki said as he sighed.

"If only the aburame didn't exist things could have gone differently." He continued.

"What should we do about that monster Lord Tsuchikage?" The chunin teacher asked.

"You can go back to class. But take the child to my office after that. I really wanted to see with my eyes what he is truly capable of. If he is as much of a monster as you described him as maybe I can train him to become an important asset to the village." Onoki commanded the Chunin teacher.

Onoki then smiled as he looked at the Chunin teacher who had left his office.

"Heavens must be favouring my village. First Deridara, the greatest genius that I have seen in my whole life other than my master, and now a twelve-year-old who can even impress a veteran Chunin." He said to himself.

"But still I have to find out if he is from that clan and harbors any resentment towards the village for what we did to that clan." Onoki then said as he lost his smile.

A few years ago the Stone Village had a clan called the Kamizuru clan which used bugs.

They were powerful and highly respected by the village until they lost their status when they were defeated by Konoha's Aburame clan in the Second Great Ninja War.

Even then it was still undeniable that the clan contributed a lot to the stone village.

The clan was so powerful in the past that at one point they even possessed a Shinobi named Ichikawa, who later became the first Tsuchikage.

He was also Onoki's grandfather.

But the clan's defeat in the war still put a lot of pressure on the village.

Not only did the Kamizuru clan lose most of their powerful clan members but they also committed a lot of war crimes during the war.

So in order for the greater good Onoki was forced to banish the clan from the village after the war.

In order to minimize the losses that the stone village would suffer at the hands of Konoha and the other Shinobi villages.

Most of their members are exiled but one member decided to stay in the village by trying to change his surname to something other than Kamizuru.

The member who stayed in the village was notorious and would have died if it were known that he had been banished from the village.

So the Onoki decided to give him a helping hand by allowing him to take on any name that he wanted and also concealing his presence from the world by declearing him as deceased.

He chose the name of the first Tsuchikage as his surname in order to show his loyalty and gratitude to Onoki who saved him and his family's life by hiding him from the world.

He continued to serve the village until he was killed off later in a mission.

Most of his contribution in the war is acknowledged by the village but only a few people knew of his actual identity as a member of an infamous clan.

Onoki wonders if the boy who was deemed the Genius by the Chunin teacher was the son of that man.
