Chapter 6: Training the Dragon Children

Today, I have to teach the dragon children how to use their powers, but I don't know much about dragons.

System, don't you have a book about dragons?

System: Of course, I do.

Then give it to me.

System: The book costs 50 points.

Why? That's so expensive… I could get so many other things with these points.

System: The dragon book is rare and hard to find.

Fine, I'll take it. Give it to me.

System: Accepted.

Alright, let's read. When dragon children hatch, whoever they see first, they consider that person their father or mother. Dragons grow up fast and need a lot of food. That seems right—they eat a lot once they grow. Their powers don't appear immediately; dragon children's abilities start to show when they turn one year old. Dragons only find a mate after they are over 100 years old.

Eh… 100 years… okay, their powers haven't awakened yet. There's still time. Today I need to go to the market to get the things I need.

Days passed, then months, and now winter has arrived. I need to prepare for winter. My children have started walking. I never get bored with them because I have six kids—there's no one happier than me. They've started talking and every night they sleep with me; without me, they don't sleep at all. Now I have to stock up for winter and go to the forest to hunt creatures.

I'm leaving now. Children, stay calm.

Children: Yes, dad! Okay, dad, go ahead!

I've reached the forest. Now I can start.

Move faster!

Eh… whose voice was that? Were those slave traders again?

Elf girls… why are they taking them? Recently, news said the elves were completely wiped out. So it's true—every male elf was killed, only females and children survived. They captured them. They can't get help from the kingdom because during the battle, the kingdom just watched. Fine, I'll help. My power isn't what it used to be.

Hey, if you let them go, you'll survive.

What? What did you say? Are you trying to die? Go away or you'll die.

Come on, try it and see if you can kill them!

Kill them! Divide them! Faster!

One… two… three… four… five… six… all fifty of them. Not hard, five minutes will be enough.

What did you say? Eh, I didn't die.

One is ready, 49 more to go. Come on.

Oh, finally it's done.
