The sun had just set and Klyde had made it to the bridge. The bridge was connected to a road made of cobblestone and not to far from it was castle like wall, potentially a town. Klyde sat down on the bridge, letting out a sigh of exhaustion.
"Just a bit more walking to go… I'll just take a short break here and check my items."
『 Inventory 』
〘 Items: 2/1000 〙
〔 ID card 〕
〔 Book: The book of Arkonridia 〕
"A book and an ID card" He said as he took out the items.
The id card was a white card showing his name [Klyde Tolan], age [23], level [17], race [human] and origin [Estrin]. And the book had hard leather cover with a crystal on the centre, the edges rimmed with gold.
"I'm guessing this id is what allows me to get from place to place. And it says my origin is Estrin. Might be the place I'm at right now. Also my level. Not sure if it increased because of the level up but I guess I can check when I level up later."
He put away the items and got up.
"That reminds me. I still have no money. I'll just hope that the guild memberships a free and I can get one. That's if its where I'm going, that is." He mumbled as he made his way to the structure.
By the time he got there, the sun had already set and it was now dark. The wall had a closed gate guarded by two knights.
The two knights were chatting and one of them turned their head towards him. The moment he saw him, he immediately raised his sword at him. The other, after seeing him also did the same.
"What are you doing here, skypirian?" A male voice came from one of the nights.
Klyde stepped back a bit, his hands reaching both his swords.
"I don't know what a skypirian is but I'm guessing you aren't in the best terms?" Klyde responded in his formal monotone voice. Caused my his overformality and his inability to express emotions externally.
"You're joking. That armour tells me all I need to know. You're a skypirian scum and need to be eliminated." The knight continued.
"No, I'm am not. I have do not know what a skypirian is." Said Klyde. 'Theres two of them. And I'm definitely not strong enough to take them. Not to mention there's probably more of them."
"Oh, now you're just asking for it."
"Okay, Kevin, he might actually not be a skypirian." The other knight said to the first.
"Lloyd, you cannot be serious right now…"
"Okay, he's obviously weak. Does that sound skypirian. I mean, look at him."
"Yeah… But the armour."
"Does that look white? Does that have gold on it? Dumbass." Lloyd then turned to Klyde. "Hey, can you toss me your card?"
"My card?" Klyde asked and put his hand behind his back and took his ID card out of his inventory. 'If they need my card, Skypirian must be species or origin. Judging by what the other one said, they probably wear amour like mine.'
He raised it to confirm and Lloyd nodded then he tossed the card to him.
Lloyd caught the card and showed it to the Kevin.
"See. His origin is Estrin. And he's level 17." Said Lloyd.
"Fine, let's let him in. At least the blame won't be on me when this town is destroyed. He better pray he doesn't meet Xavier."
The two lowered then lowered their weapons.
"You can cross Mr Tolan. We welcome you to the town of Pakka." Said Lloyd as he handed him the card back while Kevin opened the gate. "Sorry about earlier." He chuckled nervously.
Klyde nodded, taking back the card and passing through the gate. He entered the town, walking on what looked to be the main road, which had road lamps on each sides and stretched to the other side of the town.
Yellow light leaked through the windows of some of building, painting the street below. There were also a few townsfolk walking around, some in casual attire, other with weaponry and even armour.
As he walked past people he kept getting a lot of stares. Many of the women that looked just blushed and turned away., others just admiring him. While the rest of the people looked at him with fear and distain.
'Its late and I don't have money so I can't sleep in an inn so I guess I'll be sleeping outside. Better than sleeping in a forest.'
He then turned to a dark alleyway, and sat down against the wall. He took his two swords and held them in his hand in case he would get robbed while sleeping and soon drifted to sleep.
Klyde woke up the next day in the morning and was greeted with a system tab.
『 Daily quest 』
〘 Quest 〙
〔 Class: D 〕
〔 Kill 10 Monsters 〕
〔 Time left: 16h 〕

〔 Exp points: 100 〕

"Daily quest…?" He said as he yawned. "Kill 10 monsters… And I only have 16 hours left. If this worlds days are 24 hours it should be around 8 right now. Which would meant it's still early in the day."
He got and attached his swords back to his hip.
"The quest can wait. I still need to check if there's an adventure's guild."
He then started asking around the locals for where the adventurers guild is. Most just walked away from him as fast they could, others couldn't even. Though he finally ended up finding the adventure's guild, located along the centre of the city.
The moment he entered the building, everyone inside looked towards him, the room going completely silent.
He walked straight to the guild receptionist at the centre of the room, who also looked evenly shocked.
"Good morning, miss. I'd like to register for a adventurers guild membership"
The guild receptionist let out a sigh of relief and everyone else is the room continued with their banter thought with a new topic.
"You think he's a skypirian?"
"How did he get into the town dressed like that?"
"God, he looks hot."
"Think he killed the guards to enter the town and do whatever hoes planning?"
"A looker like that must be strong"
Though he cought a bit of what they were saying, he just ignored it, focusing of the receptionist.
"Oh, I see. May I see your card then?" The receptionist asked.
Klyde nodded and took out his hard, handing it to her. Apon looking at the card, her jaw dropped when she his level.
'17?! Even I'm stronger that! Is this dude for real' She thought and cleared her throat. "Uhm, do you have any experience with fighting monsters?"
"I have a lot combat experience though I only recently fought a wolf pack."
"Mhmm…" She sighed. "Whatever, just get in here and talk to Anders to register." She pointed to a door besides her.
Klyde took back his card and entered the room he was told. Inside the room was a table near a fire places surrounded by couches. And on one of those couches was a man snoring as slept.
