Chapter 527 - Chapter 118: Take Action! (Part 4)

Otherwise, I will execute the termination command.

Warning, repeating once more—All research personnel, please stop immediately..."

After the voice of Venus sounded, the door opened accordingly, and several robots appeared at the door, carrying weapons stained with fresh blood from the Netherworld Dogs.

Seeing this scene, the researchers couldn't help but gasp, but then, under the gaze of those robots, they obediently raised their hands and stood still, not daring to move.

One person, boasting about their technical skills, even attempted to stealthily hack Mercer's lockdown program. However, in reality, his actions couldn't escape the real-time surveillance of Venus.

Without any hesitation, a robot raised its weapon, aimed at his head, and pulled the trigger.

When the blood splattered, and a body fell to the ground with a thud, a female researcher let out a scream, and then all researchers instinctively fell silent, staying quietly where they were.

Venus nodded with satisfaction using the camera, then switched perspectives to focus most of its attention on Mercer.

...

"Director Mercer!" When Mercer, clad in armor, stepped out of the workspace, the Netherworld Dogs on duty at the door immediately raised their guns to block his path, with expressions both serious and a little tense: "According to the regulations, you are not allowed to..."

Before the two Netherworld Dogs could finish their words, their heads suddenly erupted in electric sparks.

Mercer's cooling fan buzzed, the blue data flow visible through the helmet visor, like a river carrying away the souls of the deceased.

"Now, I'm in charge here."

Mercer's voice came through the helmet, almost in sync with the fall of the two Netherworld Dogs' bodies, just as the nearby security and surveillance team of Netherworld Dogs realized what had happened.

Two-thirds of them did not hesitate to raise their weapons at Mercer, but at the moment of firing, Mercer's figure suddenly disappeared from sight.

Only a few soldiers with neural acceleration implants among the Netherworld Dogs could barely see a few whip-like afterimages passing by.

And then, the heads of those armed soldiers, in the blink of an eye, turned into heaps of shattered human tissue, spraying onto the walls, ceiling, and floor.

A surviving Netherworld Dog soldier had not even realized what happened, dumbly touched his bulletproof helmet visor, and then found his hands covered in crimson and bits of white: "Damn it!"

"Repeating once more, I am taking over now, everyone drop your weapons and submit to control, arrangements will be made after things settle."

Mercer repeated his words again, and the remaining Netherworld Dogs tremblingly lowered their weapons and surrendered immediately.

Everyone knew that Mercer in his current state was not someone ordinary people could deal with—his matte black battle armor, along with the octopus-like arms slowly waving behind him, created a terrifying suffocating pressure just by looking at him.

Several robots belatedly took over their weapons; some went to the workshop, while others pointed weapons at their heads, ordering them to proceed to the enclosed shooting range for further instructions.

One Netherworld Dog sent an urgent communication with a flickering gaze, but the next moment, nothing happened.

Mercer said nothing, simply allowing the robot to pull the trigger and execute the Netherworld Dog soldier before continuing forward without concern.

The remaining Netherworld Dog soldiers trembled, with one unable to resist asking: "Director Mercer! What are you doing!?"

The Netherworld Dog next to him instinctively moved two steps away—damn fool, it's a rebellion! What else could it be! Don't let the blood get on me!

But Mercer unexpectedly responded in a calm tone: "Taking over Dog Town."

As Mercer walked away, several Netherworld Dog soldiers finally dared to take deep breaths, with one muttering in disbelief: "Taking over Dog Town? My God, has he turned himself into a cyber psychopath?"

A robot behind him violently smashed his head with the butt of a gun, then spoke in a cold, slightly angry mechanical voice: "Please show respect to the master."

The other Netherworld Dogs swallowed subconsciously—crap, is there a rogue AI too!?

Meanwhile, Mercer walked towards the training base of the Netherworld Dogs at the stadium, as if the surroundings were uninhabited. In simple terms, leaving this place required passing through the camp where the Netherworld Dogs were stationed, which was why only one team of Netherworld Dogs remained at the workshop.

The moment Mercer's figure appeared, someone immediately sensed something was wrong, raised their weapon, and quickly called for the officer.

Finally, appearing in front of Mercer was Bennett, face full of anger and clad in black tank armor: "Damn it, I knew you were unreliable, you bastard!

Drop your equipment right now, and I can still plead with Colonel Hansen for you, but if you're stubborn..."

Even facing Mercer, who seemed intimidating at the moment, Bennett still showed no fear, glaring at Mercer, his armor's shoulder cannon aimed at his face, clutching a large shotgun: "The dozens of brothers here won't take it lightly with you!"

Mercer just tilted his head slightly: "You're not afraid? You should know better than I do, this armor on me isn't your ordinary mass-produced gear."
