Chapter 528 - Chapter 118: Take Action! (5)

"You? A kid in an armored suit?" Bennett laughed, then his gaze turned cold, "I'll make you regret choosing betrayal."

But Mercer just stood there motionless until Bennett's expression changed multiple times, finally bursting out, "What have you done?"

"You don't think I've just been fiddling with my gear all this time at the base, do you?"

Mercer's voice was somewhat mocking, even though he was the one surrounded, he remained calm and collected:

"Large electronic interference equipment, EMP blasts, hiring hackers outside to insert a hard drive into the server to plant a virus in my head, secretly adding locking devices to my gear, even preparing a neurotoxin that can instantly seal the entire stadium...

Oh, and having someone replace the program on the already produced equipment, revoking my control access...

But have you ever thought about a question, for a hacker like me, you're just modifying on the system I wrote, doodling on the program I wrote...

Besides tainting my code, what practical significance does it have?"

As Mercer's playful voice fell, Bennett's face suddenly changed, because his arm started acting disobedient—more precisely, the tank armor he was wearing suddenly appeared to have a mind of its own!

He slowly raised the shotgun in his hand, aiming at his own chin!

"I know Colonel Hansen must have brought in experts, but what I want to say is... the experts in your eyes, are they really up to par?

I also know you deliberately disconnected all these little surprises prepared for me, but unfortunately, I seem to be a bit out of touch and preemptively unwrapped all those gifts."

Several small spider robots were scurrying through the Netherworld Dog's ventilation ducts at that moment—it was they who turned off those deadly trap facilities in advance.

Yet, those in the Netherworld Dog had no knowledge of the spider robots' existence.

Mercer calmly stared at Bennett's face. At this moment, dozens of Netherworld Dogs simultaneously raised their guns aimed at Mercer, including various heavy weapons.

"Stop! If you kill Bennett..."

A Netherworld Dog didn't finish his sentence before Mercer's gaze turned ghostly towards him, speaking slowly and clearly, "In five seconds, those who put down their weapons will live, those who still hold them, will die.

We've spent some time together, and if possible, I would prefer not to crush your heads with my own hands."

Bennett's eyes widened in rage; he was desperately fighting against his armor, even causing it to emit some strange sounds, but ultimately, his hand still firmly grasped the shotgun, aiming at his own head.

"You're done for! Mercer! You're done for!" Bennett was still attempting to threaten Mercer to lower his weapon: "Even if your lover V comes over, don't think that..."

"Five." Mercer interrupted him, then began the countdown expressionlessly, various weapons surrounding him, yet he only counted down steadily according to the standard time.

"Four."

Some of the Netherworld Dogs began hesitating whether to open fire or surrender, but Bennett suddenly shouted forcefully, "Fire!"

A few of the Netherworld Dogs pulled the trigger without hesitation.

The swinging Octopus Arm swiftly batted away a few bullets heading towards his head, and suddenly, Mercer's figure vanished.

Bennett's eyes widened in disbelief—this maniac had really integrated all of Sianwistan into his prosthetic body?

But it didn't matter, the Netherworld Dog had dealt with similar opponents before...

But just two seconds later, Bennett's lips began to twitch uncontrollably.

Because those Netherworld Dogs who chose to fire, their heads were now bursting with blinding electrical sparks.

"I've activated electronic interference!" shouted a Netherworld Dog in fury, but then a shadow flickered by, and his electromagnetic interference equipment was directly smashed by an Octopus Arm.

Bullets flew everywhere, even colliding in the air, hidden snipers desperately trying to lock onto targets, but then they found their prosthetic eyes popping up with hacking alerts.

Netherworld Dog's server permissions were forcibly taken over by Mercer, and the stadium cameras became his eyes, revealing everything in his sight no matter where one hid.

Mercer did not need to fire, nor did he need a weapon, for his mind was at that moment the strongest attack, numerous rapid hacks began to spread, and fast-infecting virus programs started chaotically churning among the Netherworld Dog's minds.

"Five."

He even had time to finish the final countdown.

Then, one by one, the Netherworld Dogs suddenly screamed and collapsed to the ground, Bennett looked in disbelief as his hand pulled the shotgun's trigger on himself—his helmet even automatically opened the visor!

A splash of blood mixed with metal parts blasted apart in his helmet, while the other Netherworld Dogs had nothing left but to scream.

When the five-second countdown ended, Mercer's figure became a brutal meat grinder, the compressed propulsion behind him roaring, enveloped in white mist as the heat dissipation worked tirelessly to lower the temperature of his body and armor processor.

Mercer chose to spin—when his figure began to rotate, the Octopus Arm whipped around like a lash, and in the blink of an eye, he dashed dozens of meters, turning the surrounding Netherworld Dogs into shredded blood and flesh.

When a distinct blood-red path appeared in the Netherworld Dogs' view, those still capable almost unanimously dropped their weapons in despair.

"Surrender! We surrender!"

And Mercer merely began emotionlessly clearing the battlefield.

Meanwhile, messages from the Prosthetic Eye reported V and the others' progress.

[V: Following the plan, handling key figures in the Netherworld Dog separately—I'm tasked with capturing Hansen alive.]

[Mercer: I can come help shortly.]

[V: What about the Netherworld Dogs on your end!?]

Mercer turned his head to look.

[Mercer: Almost all dead.]
