Chapter 526 - Chapter 118: Take Action! (Part 3)

This time, the speed and strength of the Octopus Arm were greater because the armor's battery had much more power than his bioelectricity and the Octopus Arm's own battery, and the processor built into the armor was optimizing the output of the Octopus Arm, allowing Mercer to control it more precisely.

A group of researchers watched Mercer in his armor, wielding the Octopus Arm, with expressions uncertain whether they were seeing a demon or a god, as he flew through the air like an alien monster, swinging his arms, and smashing metal targets to pieces.

After testing for more than ten minutes, Mercer landed, took a few deep breaths, and drank some ice-cold cola to cool down: "Looks like this is all I can do for now."

"You've already done superbly. Honestly, I don't even know how you did it! Such a massive amount of data, let alone using a human brain for the central control, even if you had an AI do it, I don't think AI would necessarily be able to achieve to your level..."

The researcher praised him, but then noticed that Mercer had no intention of removing his equipment or dismantling the Octopus Arm, instead, he casually walked out of the shooting range.

A few researchers followed behind Mercer, somewhat confused, unsure of what he was up to. It wasn't until he was about to leave the workspace that they hurriedly reminded him: "You haven't taken off your armor yet!"

"I know," Mercer said without looking back.

"Director! The regulations don't allow us to take things out of the workspace without permission! Director! Director Mercer?"

The group of researchers realized Mercer was no longer responding to their words.

"It's terrible! It's cyberpsychosis! Has the mental load become too heavy, causing hallucinations? Inhibitors, quick, prepare the inhibitors!"

One researcher suddenly shouted, somewhat alarmed.

Mercer found it amusing but still casually waved his hand: "Now, follow my orders, stay in the workshop, and don't go out. Do you understand me?"

"Director! You can't..." A researcher hurried over, trying to grab Mercer to make him snap out of it, but then an Octopus Arm extended casually grabbed his clothes and tossed him aside.

The researcher was like a doll grabbed by a claw machine set to maximum settings, powerless to resist being thrown aside.

"I know what I'm doing. I'll repeat it once more, stay inside. Come out only when the door opens, understood?"

Mercer stood at the entrance to the research workshop, turning slightly, revealing a faint smile: "Working with you guys is pretty convenient, so everyone, please help out and don't cause trouble. I'm still counting on you to work for me in the future."

"You're all smart people, I don't need to say more, right?"

With those words, everyone immediately understood what Mercer planned to do. Some were scared and quickly backed away several steps, while others panicked, not knowing what to do. However, to Mercer's surprise, someone hesitated for a moment and said softly:

"Are you planning to make a getaway? Where to? Which company offered you an invitation? I, I want to keep working with you!"

Mercer smirked but didn't say any more words as he walked out of the workshop, then the metallic door clicked shut automatically, locked tightly, and the whole development workshop lit up with red lights.

In the next moment, those researchers discovered their communication software and cybernetic permissions had all been locked.

"Damn, Director Mercer has really gone mad!?" Someone murmured, nervously glancing around: "No, we must figure out a way to inform Colonel Hanssen! Otherwise, if something goes wrong, we're all doomed!"

But there were also those who appeared lost in thought, seemingly having realized something yet found it hard to believe, just looking at their colleagues with an equally bewildered expression.

Others simply began to try to unlock the door in order to escape: "Damn it, I knew I shouldn't have quit the company to work here..."

But then the horrifying situation happened right thereafter.

Because, someone on the surveillance footage saw something terrifying happen: "Those robots! Look quickly! On our production line!"

Someone approached for a look and immediately gasped.

Because of the Octopus Arms that had been quietly lying in the production workshop, working endlessly for 24 hours, now suddenly all halted their movements in unison, replaced by the robots produced and set aside for inspection, starting to move suddenly.

Those robots walked expressionlessly to a few Octopus Arms, then the Octopus Arms on the production line suddenly began to open the robot's shoulders and started installing slots, and within three minutes, the robots had two connection slots on their shoulders.

The Octopus Arms and robots cooperated together, and soon, those bare robots grew terrifying Octopus Arms on their shoulders.

The researcher swallowed hard, but more frightening was when someone tried switching to another camera and saw an even more terrifying scene.

"The warehouse...the warehouse's armor and robots...are all moving by themselves...Oh my God!"

Someone spoke in a trembling voice, and then everyone saw the warehouse storing these robots and Single Soldier Armor, the door wide open, and the guards, the Netherworld Dogs, their heads were sparking and lying collapsed on the ground.

And those robots and Single Soldier Armor began moving on their own!

Sasha noises rang out in the testing workshop, followed by a female voice.

"Director Mercer, as my master has ordered me to take control of all electronic facilities in the stadium, I hereby request all researchers to immediately cease any interference with the operation of equipment and immediately stop any attempts to transmit information."
