She pushed the door open and got out of the car, while Rebecca cocked her Iron Gall with a click, got out from the passenger side, and followed her.
Now her brightly colored Iron Gall looked like a sniper rifle in her arms, with a barrel that seemed bigger than before.
Mercer estimated that Pira had made quite a few modifications for her, and the power was likely stronger than before.
"You'll have to climb over. The noise of opening the door is too loud."
Mercer reminded them.
Standing in front of the more than three-meter-high gate, V glanced at it, then turned to Rebecca and said, "Get on."
She motioned briefly, then crouched down, placing her hands on her knees.
Rebecca had never tried such an operation, but she was equally fit, and even though it was her first time, she managed to coordinate quite well with V.
She placed one foot on V's hands, pushed up with force, and V also pushed her upward, allowing Rebecca to grab onto the edge of the gate. With her Gorilla Arms, now showing some cracks, she effortlessly lifted herself over.
Rebecca didn't stay on top to pull V up but quickly flipped over, then directly approached the guardhouse by the gate, dodging the Vortex Gang members outside who were smoking and chatting.
And V's speed was certainly no slower than Rebecca's. To avoid detection, she activated the Sianwistan for a little over a second, and with a strong leap after a running start, she vaulted over the gate with barely any use of her hands.
She landed like a phantom and slipped into the guardhouse as well.
"Everyone visible to the cameras has been marked, and all security systems are disabled. I've hacked into the factory's security server through the backdoor turret. Once you finish off the targets, you can enter directly through the back door."
Mercer's voice came through their earpieces. V and Rebecca exchanged a glance, then used their Prosthetic Eyes to see through wall obstacles and spotted the enemies highlighted in red.
"This is thrilling, like playing a game with cheats on," said Rebecca, itching to get started. "Save one for me?"
"Alright, let's go together. You take left, I'll take right, and we'll first take out the two chatting by the car. If anything goes wrong, I'll activate the Sianwistan."
V thought for a moment, opting to give her comrade a shot and also a chance to see what those Gorilla Arms could do.
It's said just these arms alone are worth 130,000 Euros, and Rebecca paired them with a 10,000 Euros electric shock module, reportedly capable of punching a hole through a concrete wall.
They stealthily slipped out of the guardhouse, utilizing the chaotically parked Vortex Gang cars and the visual advantage Mercer had given them with highlighted enemies.
They quietly approached two Vortex Gang members near the gate, leaning against a car smoking and drinking.
Rebecca and V exchanged a glance, then simultaneously darted out from behind the car. One of them caught a glimpse of a shadow in his peripheral vision, feeling puzzled and began to turn around.
A petite fist smashed into the back of his head, curving around and popping out of his mouth.
The other Vortex Gang member, chatting with him, was almost scared into screaming—anyone would be startled if a friend's face suddenly sprouted a fist.
But he found he couldn't make a sound because V's short blade had already sliced open most of his neck, and a hand was firmly covering his mouth, dragging him behind the car.
Rebecca struggled a bit—she'd jumped up to punch, and her hand got stuck in that guy's head, tangled in the metal bones and messy blood, synthesis fluid, and mechanical structure, making her skin crawl.
She simply pulled hard, yanking the head clean off, then disdainfully tossed the head away with her other hand.
V was taken aback, feeling a bit queasy. To be honest, her kills were generally clean and neat, not as violent as Rebecca's.
[Rebecca: Damn, I'll never want to try that again. It was disgustingly gross! V, it's your turn.]
[V: Wow, you've got strength.]
[Rebecca: Haha, impressive, right~?]
The two of them leisurely started texting through the squad's chat.
Mercer rolled his eyes and sent a message.
[Mercer: Hurry up, stop dawdling.]
V gave a thumbs up to a random camera, knowing Mercer surely could see it.
Then, she took a deep breath and activated the Sianwistan.
Mercer instinctively turned on the Synaptic Accelerator, trying to capture V's figure on the cameras, only to find she was moving so fast even the camera was skipping frames.
In the camera footage, she seemed to be teleporting in frame-by-frame jumps.
Once V activated the Sianwistan, she didn't bother with silence, focusing on speed. She ran up behind them, and with a blink of an eye, she used two blades to puree their brains, then went off in search of the next target.
Almost matching Mercer's hacking efficiency, three seconds later, V stood with her hands on her hips at the warehouse backdoor, giving Mercer a thumbs-up, while the last two Vortex Gang members she dealt with were just starting to slump to the ground.
Rebecca clicked her tongue, feeling an urge to upgrade her operating system and install the Krenzikov, kicking away an obstructing Vortex Gang corpse as she walked to the back door.
[Mercer: Throw the bodies into the trash bin; if you're lucky, it might buy you some time.]
