I looked at both of them. They nodded.
"Words of wisdom from the queen herself," Niya teased with a wink.
I rolled my eyes but smiled anyway. Soon the girls left to find their mates.
Atlas still hadn't returned; I couldn't sense him. My lycan raged at me for not chasing after him, but I held firm. He needed this.
I sighed and walked back to my room. Tonight would be long.
As soon as I stepped inside, flashbacks of what was about to happen earlier hit me. Bradley had ruined it with his call. Terrible timing.
Should I have gone after him? No — he needed this.
My thoughts drifted back to Bradley. That man was insane, broken beyond repair. He blamed Atlas for everything, so of course he'd target me.
I flopped onto the bed and switched on the TV, flicking through channels aimlessly. Six episodes later, still no sign of Atlas. Now irritation burned inside me. Where the hell was he? If he was going to be gone this long, he should've told someone.
