Leng Yumo stayed quiet at the voice at the other side of the phone she looked at Lu Jingyan who stared at her and she could instantly smell trouble and she knew it would be between her brother and this woman over Lu Jingyan and she can't bear right see her elder brother and mother having a duel over a lady
"When do you come back?" Leng Yumo asked the person at the other side of the phone
"Is that a way to talk to your mom?" Leng Ruomo said at the other side of the phone
Leng Yumo bit her lips as she heard her voice and she instinctively wanna fold her hands into a fist but sho fought against it
"Where are you?" Leng Yumo asked her mother as she tried her best to hide her displeasure
"Where else? Leng manor" the woman replied
"I am coming" Leng Yumo said
"Come here quickly and bring that vixen of a woman with you" Leng Ruomo said then hung up the call
"What is the problem?" Lu Jingyan asked
"Nothing. Let's go" Leng Yumo said
"Where?" Lu Jingyan asked
"Home" Leng Yumo said as she got up then leave the shop. Lu Jingyan and Lu Xinyan sensed trouble but there isn't nothing they could do. They quietly got up and followed her home
Lu Jingyan kept her gaze on the road through out the ride and she knew she was going to be in trouble and she silently hoped it would be something she could handle and not something she can't handle and she knew something like this would be related to the the Leng family.
"Yumo. Who are we going to meet at home?" Lu Xinyan asked as he couldn't contain his curiosity.
Lu Jingyan looked at Leng Yumo who didn't give a reply and she looked at the road again to occupy her thought
"The general" Yumo said
"General?" Lu Xinyan asked
"Yes the general. The Leng family general" Leng Yumo said as she face the window
Lu Jingyan thought about it and she nod inwardly
*Maybe she's just like the Leng patriarch. Who is cold outside and warm inside* she thought but her mind kept telling her to prepare for the worse
The car drove into the compound and the guards opened the door for them as the maids came to pick up the outfit they had bought earlier.
The door opened and the trio walked into the hallway and Lu Jingyan saw a woman in her late forties as she stood with quiet elegance, her presence commanding yet graceful. In her late forties, she carried herself with the poise of someone who had weathered storms and risen above them. Her long, jet-black hair was neatly pinned back, streaked with strands of dignified silver. Fine lines framed her almond-shaped eyes—sharp and observant—hinting at both wisdom and restraint. Her complexion was fair and smooth, well cared for, and her makeup subtle, enhancing her natural features. Dressed in a tailored cheongsam with modern flair, she exuded sophistication. Lu Jingyan looked at the woman as she knows that every word she spoke carried weight, and every movement was deliberate—an aura of quiet power. She could sense the up coming war.
Indeed Leng Yumo was right this woman was indeed the general. And she never thought she'd face the general at the beginning of war even when she hasn't prepared herself for the impending war and she knew early on she would loose this war
