Chapter 333 - Chapter 333 A Coincidental Miss

Yusei thought for a moment and decided to go to Gensokyo first. He could find Athena after leaving Gensokyo.

With this in mind, he flew towards the northeast of Japan. Now that he was more proficient with the Rinnegan, using repulsion to fly felt smoother.

Flying at full speed, Yusei quickly reached the entrance to the Gensokyo pocket dimension.

At the same time, at another exit, a group of three, or more accurately, two gods and one rabbit, were emerging from Gensokyo.

Gensokyo had more than one entrance/exit. In fact, there was also one located in the mountains near Tokyo.

They had entered via the northeastern entrance before simply because they hadn't known about the one near Tokyo at the time.

During their days in Gensokyo, they had gradually learned about it, and now exiting via Tokyo was more convenient.

They had already determined that the location shown in the viral video was Tokyo, so they headed directly there.

"So this is the outside world? It's completely different from when I last came," The Moon Rabbit Reisen remarked, looking curiously at the modern cityscape of Tokyo.

Having always lived on the Lunar Capital, whose technology far surpassed the Earth's, Reisen wasn't amazed by the modern city itself, but rather curious about the surface's development.

She still remembered the state of the surface during the Lunar War... it was very backward.

To see it develop to this extent in what felt like a short time was enough to surprise her.

Suwako and Kanako had no particular thoughts. They were already aware of modern human cities, though they didn't really understand all the strange machinery.

Their main concern was the gradual decline in human faith towards gods. The reason they had retreated into Gensokyo was their continuously waning power.

The two of them were relatively fine, as one was a spirit frog, the other born from the earth, so even with no faith, they would only weaken, not disappear.

But those gods formed purely from faith, like local land gods, would truly vanish if faith completely dried up.

Suwako had no interest in modernity. Right now, she only wanted to find the master of that lightning arrow quickly.

"Let's hurry and find him! I can still feel the residual traces of that familiar power," Suwako urged, pulling on Kanako's sleeve impatiently.

Kanako looked helplessly at Reisen. This Moon Rabbit, dressed in warrior attire with a mysterious long sword on her back, was someone she dared not underestimate in the slightest.

She didn't think much of Reisen's personal strength, but the sword on her back, the Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi, was a name that thundered in her ears. She knew perfectly well it was one of the Three Sacred Treasures.

Each of the Three Sacred Treasures had its own purpose, but in terms of combat and offensive power, the Ame-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi was undoubtedly the most outstanding.

"Reisen-sama, shall we proceed? I will cast an invisibility spell to prevent humans from detecting us, making our task easier."

"Mhm, whatever works for you. You handle the finding. I follow Princess Kaguya's command and am only responsible for slaying the God-Stealer."

"Thank you."

Just as they entered human society to trace the residual 'Lightning Arrow' power, Yusei had already entered Gensokyo from the other side.

Remembering the way from last time, Yusei headed directly to Yukari's place.

The Yakumo Residence was just as before, unchanged.

When Yusei arrived, Yukari was sleeping, having retreated into a gap. Amano Hina, however, had a new look about her, seemingly having become a sort of apprentice under Ran.

Hina, who was cleaning and doing housework, saw Yusei enter the courtyard and rubbed her eyes, unable to believe it.

"Boss?"

"It's me. Surprised?" Yusei walked over with a smile and ruffled Hina's hair.

"A little surprised. Why did you suddenly come, Boss?"

"I came to see you before I leave. I see you've gotten a lot stronger. The energy inside you now... it's spiritual power, right?"

"Mhm. Ran-nee has been teaching me. I can use Onmyodo now. I can be of help to you, Boss," Hina said, her cheeks slightly flushed, speaking softly.

"Haha, having the intention is enough. I just came to see how you're doing."

"I'm doing very well. Yukari-sama takes good care of me, and Ran-nee also looks after me and teaches me Onmyodo."

"That's good. I can rest easy knowing you're here." Yusei nodded, relieved.

"Should I inform Yukari-sama?"

"No need. I came mainly to see you. By the way, where is Yakumo Ran?"

"Ran-nee isn't home. She went to help someone open a barrier, I think. I heard a god from Gensokyo needed to go to the outside world on business. Ran-nee is in charge of managing the barriers, so basically, she went to open the 'door' for them," Hina explained.

"Boss, do you want to wait inside for Ran-nee to return?"

Yusei waved his hand, "No, it's fine. I came mainly for you, to see how you're doing. Now that I know you're well, I can leave feeling at ease."

"Leave? Are you going abroad, Boss?" Hina asked curiously.

"No. This time, I'm preparing to go to another world."

"Ah?" Hina gasped, "Boss, are you going to become a god?"

"Becoming a god is still a long way off. But I'm on the path to godhood."

"Thank you, Boss... But please be careful of any dangers. Actually, not becoming a god is perfectly fine too."

Hina understood clearly that the reason Yusei sought godhood was because of what Yukari had said last time… to help her. But becoming a god was no simple matter.

After Yusei left last time, she had many conversations with Yukari, including a lot about gods. Yukari had told her much, including that achieving godhood was neither simple nor safe, and one misstep could mean death.

After hearing that, Hina was very reluctant for Yusei to take such risks for her.

But later, she thought of something else and became hesitant.

This wasn't for her own sake, but for Yusei's.

The benefits of godhood were numerous: power, an upgrade in existence, a long lifespan, etc.

Thinking of these, Hina felt that achieving godhood would bring Yusei many advantages.

Torn between worrying for Yusei's safety and recognizing the benefits godhood would bring him, she felt conflicted.

"Don't worry, I'm very strong. No one can kill me," Yusei said with a laugh.

This wasn't an arrogant boast. Among the abilities recorded by his left eye was the [Ram]. Combined with the protective [Yata Mirror], his safety wasn't a concern.
