From behind the window, the three of them were on standby. Leon in front, near the door. Luis on the right, and Rian on the left, each armed, focused, and calm under pressure.
"Target two o'clock!" exclaimed Luis, firing a single shot, instantly dropping the Ganado in sight.
Instantly, the sound of gunfire filled the air.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The sound of bullets rang out, piercing through the rain and the screams of the Ganado that kept coming.
Luis and Leon showed their experience: shooting fast and precise from behind the window, hitting the head or knees of their opponents to efficiently take them out. Not a bullet was wasted.
Meanwhile, Rian, who was not too familiar with firearms, chose a different approach.
Rian waited until the enemy was close enough, then fired from a dangerous distance, directly at the head. One shot and they were down.
Each time a Ganado fell, the sound of a system notification echoed in Rian's mind.
On the other hand, after Leon quickly reloaded his handgun, he immediately fired right at one of the Ganado armed with a rusty axe that was trying to smash through the front door.
"Don't let them in!" Leon said firmly.
Rian, still at his post, fired his revolver at one approaching Ganado head. "Take it easy, I won't let them in."
From window to window, the sound of their gunfire continued to ring out amongst the increasingly heavy rain.
Any Ganado that tried to break through was immediately taken out with a targeted shot. But their numbers continued to grow. Even worse, most of them were mutated.
"Fuck it, they're coming in waves!" exclaimed Luis as he reloaded.
Leon nodded quickly. "We hold off as much as we can, don't let any in!"
Moments later, the Ganado's numbers finally dwindled. Instead, Rian caught a large figure approaching.
It was none other than a Ganado with a chainsaw raised high. The sound of the engine mixed with the rain cut through the air.
Rian glanced quickly at his fanny pack.
It was empty, only the bullets remaining in the revolver barrel.
Rian glanced briefly at Leon and Luis.
"Sorry, but... guys, can you help me out here?" Rian said lightly, but quickly backed away from the window.
BRAK!
The window was shattered by a chainsaw. Leon and Luis reflexively braced themselves, slightly surprised by the speed of the attack.
But Rian reacted first. At point-blank range, he drew his revolver and fired a volley of shots straight at the Ganado's head.
DOR! DOR! DOR!
Immediately, Leon and Luis joined in, aiming shots at the head of the opponent who had not fallen. It took a few more bullets for the Ganado's body to fall to its knees... and collapse with a heavy thud.
There was silence for a moment.
No other Ganado appeared.
Luis sighed, wiping the sweat from his forehead. "Oye! It's finally done! Good job, Amigo!"
Leon lowered his weapon and glanced at Rian, noticing for the first time the bright blue eyes on the man's face.
'Hmm? Strange blue eyes,' Leon said in thought while trying to guess, 'Is it some kind of fake eye implant technology?'
Meanwhile, Rian was lifting the Chainsaw from the floor, checking it briefly and then turning it on. Another roar filled the cabin, but this time it wasn't a threat.
Luis and Leon looked at each other for a moment, then looked at Rian in confusion.
"Hehe," Rian chuckled with the Chainsaw in his hand and muttered, "there's nothing more handsome than a man with a Chainsaw in his hand."
Suddenly, his Six Eyes caught something. A large figure emerged from the rain, lifted a large log, and threw it straight at them.
"Everyone! Get down!" Rian exclaimed.
WHUUM!
The beam shot out, through the pouring rain, straight at Leon.
Leon reacted a split second before the beam hit. Dropping to the floor, the beam hit the cupboard and pierced the cabin wall, creating a huge hole and a shower of wood chips.
If Leon had been just a little late, he probably wouldn't have gotten up.
Leon sighed heavily, then quickly got up from the floor. Wood splinters were still flying through the air from the impact just now.
Luis and Leon moved quickly to the shattered window, observing the direction from which the attack had come.
The heavy rain obscured the view slightly, but not enough to hide the towering figure that began to step out of the shadows.
He wore a long, shabby leather jacket, a large hat partially covered his face, and his body seemed much larger than an ordinary human.
"Damn... him again," Leon muttered, instantly pointing a gun at the figure.
Luis squinted, his jaw hardening. "Bitores Mendez," he said coldly. "He's no ordinary Ganado. Be careful, that man is... a monster."
Ding!
A transparent notification screen appeared right in front of Rian, visible only to him.

"A side mission with a prize of 5000 System Points?" muttered Rian softly, staring at the holographic screen that only he could see. A faint smile was etched on his face. "Not bad."
With steady steps, Rian advanced to the side of Leon and Luis who were still monitoring Mendez's movements from the cabin window.
"Luis, and... what's your name?" asked Rian suddenly, in a casual tone as if he really didn't know who was in front of him.
Leon gave Rian a quick glance. "Leon."
"Good. Listen, you two... go."
Leon and Luis both turned around, looking at Rian with a look of disbelief.
"What do you mean?" asked Leon.
Rian's eyes remained fixed on Mendez's approaching figure. "Luis, you know more about Las Plagas than anyone else here. And Leon... your priority is sweetheart-I mean, Ashley, right?"
Rian raised the Chainsaw he had picked up earlier, letting it ignite with a low roar that shook the air.
"So hurry up and go. Let i take on that big Ganado. No time to waste," Rian said in a confident tone.
However, as if he had just remembered something, Rian quickly added, "Oh... and my radio line number is 223 1335. Call me later. If Leon has time, also ask Ashley to send greetings to this handsome man."
Luis chuckled softly, though his expression still held concern. Leon opened his mouth, about to argue, but Rian's gaze was too serious to be considered a joke, even though... some of it definitely sounded like a joke.
Even so, Leon chose to put that aside.
Outside, the sound of heavy steps was approaching. Mendez, with his large body, slowly but surely approached the cabin.
Leon finally gritted his teeth, then nodded. "I don't know who you are. But just don't die."
"Relax. I'm more stubborn than I look," Rian replied, a lopsided smile gracing his face.
Before leaving, Leon reached into his pouch and handed Rian a grenade and some magnum revolver bullets. "Take these. It might be useful," he said briefly.
Rian accepted them without saying much, then stowed them away in the pocket of his trench coat that was soaked with humid air.
Leon quickly turned around and headed to the corner of the cabin where Ashley was hidden.
He pulled the closet aside, then led the girl out.
"Ashley, we're leaving now," Leon said quickly.
Ashley nodded weakly, still looking pale, and followed Leon.
Meanwhile, Luis looked at Rian for a moment, then tapped him on the shoulder. "Amigo, be careful. He's not just any opponent."
Rian just nodded slowly, replying with a faint smile. Luis soon followed Leon and Ashley, exiting the cabin through the unguarded back door.
It was quiet for a moment.
Rian let out a long breath. The chainsaw in his left hand vibrated softly, letting out a low roar. However, before Mendez got any closer, Rian reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a small mirror.
He looked at his reflection seriously and said in a heavy voice, "Whatever it is, look carefully, Rian. Don't ruin your face."
"That's for sure," replied Rian himself, this time in a light tone. Rian put the mirror back, then pulled on his trench coat.
With steady steps, Rian walked forward, leaving the cabin, through the pouring rain, and facing the tall, bulky figure of Bitores Mendez who now stood waiting for him outside.
The chainsaw in Rian's hand roared loudly, as if in challenge.
Bitores Mendez strode slowly toward the cabin, his long leather jacket flapping in the rain. When he saw Rian come out, standing alone with Chainsaw in hand, the large figure paused for a moment.
Mendez's sharp eyes narrowed to stare at the young man before him.
"...You're not one of them," Mendez muttered in a low, heavy, raspy voice like crushed stone. "I can smell the foreign odor of your body..."
"Sorry, this handsome man doesn't like to be sniffed by the same sex," Rian replied quickly. "I likes beautiful and sweet women, like Ashley for example."
