Chapter 12 - Title: Sparkle

Ding!

However, after only one step was taken, Rian was immediately stopped. A transparent holographic notification appeared before him, floating in the air with dramatic sparkles.

[Due to his narcissistic behavior in all situations, the Herald with the serial number 90,000 received the title: -Sparkle-]

Reading the notification, Rian's eyes blinked a few times. He tilted his head to the right and said softly, "I'm narcissistic? Geez, System... I'm not narcissistic. I just... really appreciate the beauty of God's creation, my face."

He shrugged casually. "But never mind... If you want to think of me that way, I don't mind. Every digital being is entitled to an opinion."

Rian smiled slightly. "Or... perhaps, you're secretly in awe of me yourself? Hmm?"

He waited for a reply from the System.

But there was only silence.

Rian sighed dramatically and closed his eyes for a moment.

"Alright, alright..." Rian said, opening his eyes and smiling again. "If you're too embarrassed to admit it, I understand. The important thing is that the title effect is good. So, of course, this handsome man will accept it wholeheartedly."

With a stylish gesture, Rian immediately installed the new title on his Attribute Status.

As soon as the title -Sparkle- was attached, Rian's eyes widened for a moment. There was a wave of warm energy flowing throughout his body.

Rian could feel a noticeable increase in attributes, his body felt much lighter, as if the entire burden of the world had disappeared.

The chainsaw in his right hand now felt like a badminton racket. In fact, for the first time, Rian felt himself able to perform acrobatic jumps without difficulty.

"This... is amazing!" he muttered excitedly, raising his left hand and clenching it tightly. "Just a total increase of 30 physical attribute points... but the effect feels amazing."

Driven by curiosity and enthusiasm, Rian lowered the chainsaw to the floor slowly, then closed the system's holographic screen and put his glasses back on.

Without hesitation, Rian glanced at the stone wall next to him and with one swift kick.

BRANG!

The wall came crashing down, leaving dust and debris scattered about.

Rian blinked one eye, then flicked his bangs in a shampoo commercial style. "Yup... this title does deserve this handsome man."

Leaning slightly, Rian took a step, then shot off like a bullet out of a barrel.

Rian ran down the narrow and dark hallway, surrounded by the long stretch of dull stone walls, as well as the sturdy though rusted iron bars, as if they were silent witnesses to the various tragedies that had occurred in that place.

Along the way, Ganado appeared. Unlike in the village, they wore fanatical cult-style black and red robes.

Their weapons were far more deadly, from crossbows and spears to long swords.

However, none of them were a significant obstacle.

Without slowing down, Rian swung the chainsaw that roared like a beast. The deafening sound of the engine combined with the screams of Ganado, who had no time to react.

Blood splatters, bone splinters and the roar of the engine created a brutal symphony that accompanied his every move.

Rian transformed into a hurricane, and the Ganado were just dry leaves in the fury of the wind.

There was no stopping him.

With fierce determination and the signature style of a handsome, confident man, Rian kept moving, speeding towards the top of Salazar's castle, where he would meet Luis and retrieve the Amber sample that was crucial to his mission.

Some time later, Rian finally arrived, despite having gotten lost several times before. Fortunately, Rian had Six Eyes. Otherwise, Rian would never have been able to reach the meeting place with Luis.

With light and confident steps, Rian climbed every step of the stairs to the top of Salazar's castle.

Once at the top, there was a large open area, with ancient structures surrounded by sturdy stone walls and gothic-style pillars that rose like mute sentinels, the area was filled with a somber, ancient feel.

From the edge of the stone fence, a dark landscape stretches into the distance, dotted with mountains and dense fog. The night wind blows strongly, shaking the robes and hair of anyone standing there.

The small towers look worn but still stand strong, as if holding on to some remnant of past glory.

Several weathered wooden tables and stone fragments from the collapsed castle structure were scattered about, reinforcing the impression that this place had not been maintained for a long time.

A moment later, Rian's gaze immediately caught the figure of Luis, standing casually beside a large suitcase, and a woman in a familiar red dress, Ada Wong.

Without hesitation, Rian raised his voice in dramatic fashion, "Luis! And... you, the beautiful lady in the red dress. Ahahaha, it seems that fate has brought us together again. Did you miss this handsome man?"

Luis turned his head and chuckled as he heard the familiar babble. He stepped over, saying, "¡Amigo... How was your trip here? Still had time to be stylish, huh?"

Meanwhile, Ada Wong merely glanced up from where she stood, her forehead slightly furrowed.

Ada muttered softly, almost inaudibly, "That guy again? He doesn't seem to be a stray tourist... so, what's his purpose?"

On the other side, Rian and Luis were now standing facing each other.

Rian briefly turned his head, gazing at the night view from the top of the castle, where ancient towers loomed mute in the distance, shrouded in dense fog.

Letting out a deep breath, Rian said in a dramatic tone, "Many obstacles... like the twists and turns of life."

After that, Rian turned back to Luis. "About the parasite suppressant drug for Ashley... is it ready? And-"

Before Rian could finish his sentence, Ada cut in quickly as she stepped forward, hand outstretched. "Luis. Hurry up and give me the Amber."

"Ah... that's right." Luis chuckled, then reached into his leather jacket. "I almost forgot."

From inside the jacket, Luis pulled out two small glass tubes, complete with pressure indicators. Inside, there was a piece of yellowish-colored stone, shining softly like a mysterious gem.

Luis handed the two vials, each containing a piece of Amber, to Rian and Ada, one by one.

Rian stared at the canister in his hand with some confusion, but Six Eyes quickly deduced: Luis had split the Amber into two parts, then stored them in separate tubes.

Without hesitation, Rian took the Amber from Luis' hand and slipped the canister under his trench coat.

Ding!

[System detected, Herald with serial number 90,000 has completed all main missions]

[You can return to the Infinity room, or stay in this world]

[If you choose to return to the Infinity room, you will undergo evaluation and reward calculation]

[If you choose to stay in this world, you can stay for 1 day]

'Finally. All the main missions are completed,' Rian smiled faintly and said, 'but...' This handsome man still wanted to chat with Ashley. So, System... I chooses to stay for 1 day.'

Ding!

[Understood. The Herald with the serial number 90,000 chose to stay for a day in this world]

[As a reminder, a Herald with serial number 90,000 can choose to return to the Infinity Room at any time]

Meanwhile, Ada had not immediately taken the tube from Luis' hand. Her gaze flicked to Rian, slightly confused.

'This man... wants Amber?' Ada thought silently, 'Perhaps this man is one of Wesker's men?'

But that thought was quickly dismissed. Ada recalled how narcissistic and dramatic the man was.

'No way. Someone like him... is too weird to be Wesker's man.'

Finally, even though she still felt something was wrong, Ada took the Amber tube from Luis without saying anything.

However, as soon as she touched the Amber, Ada suddenly held her head and groaned softly, "Ugh..."

Ada's skin was suddenly filled with a dark purple tinge, her body unsteady. Rian swiftly supported her from falling, while Luis immediately pulled Amber away from Ada's hand.

"Damn... Maybe this Amber is stimulating the growth of parasites," Luis muttered, then turned around quickly. He placed a large suitcase on a worn wooden table nearby.

Nimbly, Luis opened the suitcase and began to take out various equipment: test tubes of various shapes, bunsen burners, and other equipment for mixing chemicals.

"¡Amigo, Ada," Luis said in a serious tone, "It looks like Amber triggered a reaction in the parasite in the infected body. Wait a moment, I'll make the suppressant medicine."

On the other side, Rian helped Ada sit on the wooden city which, although it looked fragile, was still quite sturdy. As soon as her body touched the seat, Ada immediately brushed Rian's hand off her shoulder without saying anything.

Rian smiled seductively, looking at Ada who was still holding her head while grimacing, "Hey... Why did you brush off this handsome man's hand? Even though my intentions are sincere, really. Geez... this handsome man's heart is cracked, you know."
