Chapter 106 - Chapter 107 Strange's Guidance

"The Sorcerer Supreme?"Kang fell into thought, then looked up at Nathan Hawk."Is the Sorcerer Supreme you mentioned named Stephen Strange?"

"He's considered the Sorcerer Supreme," Nathan explained calmly, "but he isn't me. The one I'm referring to is known as the Ancient One."

"The Ancient One?" Kang stared into Nathan Hawk's eyes and could tell he wasn't lying.

"I don't know the person you're talking about," Kang said slowly, "but I do know Stephen Strange. You should go to the Sanctum and find him."

Nathan smiled. "Then why don't you come with me? With your support, they might trust me more."

Kang remained silent for a moment, weighing the suggestion. It did make sense. If Nathan Hawk was willing to walk openly into the Sanctum with him, it meant he wasn't afraid of Stephen Strange's scrutiny—or perhaps he was confident enough to earn Strange's approval.

Kang studied him carefully, considering whether cooperation was possible. The multiversal rift was too serious an issue to ignore. Whoever Nathan Hawk truly was, if he could help solve it, Kang was willing to try.

Finally, Kang nodded."Alright. I'll go with you to see Stephen Strange. But understand this—I'll remain alert the entire time. If you show any sign of hostile intent, I won't hesitate."

Nathan nodded in understanding."That's fair. Let's head to the Sanctum."

They left the medical wing together and set off. Along the way, Kang's doubts about Wiccan deepened. Perhaps Wiccan truly knew Nathan Hawk's identity—but why hide it? That question felt like the key to something far larger.

At the same time, Kang remained wary of Nathan Hawk. Answers wouldn't come easily. Until then, he would observe closely and see whether the man Wiccan had labeled the World Destroyer truly possessed the power to resolve the spatial fractures.

Kang didn't ask further questions on the way, instead thinking through his next steps. He was also curious about Stephen Strange and hoped this meeting would give him deeper insight into the multiverse.

The Sanctum's concealment spells didn't hinder them. Kang stepped forward and knocked on the door.

Moments later, the door opened. A man in sorcerer's robes stood there, frowning slightly as he examined them.

"Who are you?" the man asked.

Nathan Hawk recognized him instantly. He wasn't Stephen Strange—but another sorcerer, a variant of the Sorcerer King from another reality. And this one felt far more powerful.

Nathan smiled politely."My name is Nathan Hawk. This is Iron Lad. We're here to seek Stephen Strange's help."

The man's suspicion eased. He nodded and gestured for them to follow him inside.

They were led into a spacious study. Ancient books, scrolls, and arcane instruments filled the room. Mysterious symbols and portraits adorned the walls. At the center stood a large table with a thick tome resting atop it.

"You may call me King," the sorcerer said warmly as they sat."Stephen Strange isn't here at the moment. He's dealing with something important."

Kang nodded."Do you know when he'll return? We're facing an issue involving multiversal rifts."

King shook his head, concern flickering across his face."Stephen often disappears on dangerous missions. I can't say when he'll be back."

Nathan frowned but remained silent.

King studied them carefully."If you're seeking Stephen's help, then you must already understand something about the multiverse. If you're willing, share what you know."

Nathan explained the spatial rifts—and how the Ancient One had sent him here.

King's expression darkened as he listened. His gaze lingered on Nathan, unfocused, as if recalling something troubling. A flicker of unease crossed his face before he regained his composure.

"You said the Ancient One sent you?" King asked softly."Then you aren't from this world."

Nathan nodded and revealed the necklace he wore.

King stared at it in silence, then sighed deeply."Crossing universes always carries a cost. Each passage disrupts balance—and consequences follow."

Kang sensed the gravity in his tone. King seemed to know more than he was saying.

"Before Stephen left," King said slowly, "he told me something. He went to a dangerous place to prevent a multiversal imbalance. If something happened to him, he instructed me to open his study."

King stood and motioned for them to follow.

They stopped before an unremarkable wooden door. King brushed his hand across it. Runes ignited along the frame, glowing brighter as the spell took hold. The door slowly opened.

Inside was Stephen Strange's study—simple, orderly, filled with ancient scrolls, star charts, spellbooks, and texts on cosmology. At the center lay an old book and an ink bottle with a feather quill.

King's eyes locked onto the book.

"This is…" he murmured.

"What is it?" Nathan asked.

"A very rare guiding spell," King said thoughtfully. "Perhaps…"

He turned to them."Stand back."

King placed his hand on the book and began chanting an ancient incantation. The feather quill trembled. Ink flowed unnaturally, sketching invisible lines in the air.

Light flickered—then gathered—forming the outline of a face.

As the image sharpened, Kang's breath caught.

The face belonged to Wiccan.

Soft features. Mysterious eyes. A calm wisdom hiding untold secrets.

Kang stared in disbelief. This wasn't coincidence—it was a connection.

The image grew clearer, as though Wiccan's very soul was reflected within the spell. Kang felt drawn in, overwhelmed by shock and confusion.

Finally, the spell faded. King exhaled, clearly drained.

"This was one of Stephen's conditions," King said quietly."If someone reached this room and saw a specific face through this spell, then Stephen was willing to work with them."

He looked at Nathan Hawk.

"It seems that person is you."

Nathan laughed lightly."Well then—want to team up?"

"I'm coming too," Kang said suddenly. "I know where Wiccan is."

His face paled as he remembered Kate's words."Damn it—Kate went to find Wiccan."

Nathan glanced at Kang's anxious expression.

Kate…Was she the one he mentioned earlier? The second-generation Hawkeye?
