Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 Andre vs Iron Monger

Nathan Hawke was carefully listening to the Invisible Man — who was currently undergoing an interview meant to define his superhero persona through a psychological Q&A process.

Outside the room, a group of analysts were taking notes and observing his answers closely.

"Question," the interviewer asked. "Among the duck, goose, chicken, and fish — which one is different from the others, and why?"

"The chicken," the Invisible Man answered immediately.

The interviewer blinked in surprise. "And why do you think the chicken is different?"

"Because chickens can't swim," the Invisible Man replied confidently.

The entire room fell silent.

Even the analysts outside the glass window froze for a moment — then silently understood why Nathan Hawke had chosen this man. His mind worked… differently.

When the session ended and everyone left, the Invisible Man ran out cheerfully.

"Hey, boss!" he grinned at Nathan Hawke.

Nathan studied him quietly. This version of the Invisible Man was very different from the one he had seen in The Boys.

And indeed, if the Invisible Man knew what Nathan was thinking, he would have said—"Damn right, every single one of those Supes was crazy. And that bastard Homelander? Just looking at him makes my knees weak."

Here, however, things were different.

Though both Nathan and Wesker carried an intimidating presence, they weren't as unpredictably violent as The Boys' Supes. After spending some time with them, the Invisible Man had begun to lose his initial fear and sense of danger in this unfamiliar world.

"Get ready," Nathan said calmly. "You'll still go by the name Invisible Man. I'll also have a special suit made for you — to enhance your invisibility."

With that, Nathan left and headed to another office — one with a large glass wall, from which he could see everything happening in the opposite room.

Wesker had already gained the loyalty of part of Stark Industries' research division, though a few employees still remained loyal to Obadiah Stane.

Stane had promised them he'd handle things, and Stark's generous salaries made betrayal a hard choice.

Nathan smirked slightly as he watched them sign the contracts. These would be the scientists who'd build weapons for his superheroes.

He then went down to a secret Umbrella Corporation lab focused on virus research.

"Progress?" Nathan asked.

An elderly scientist with thick glasses didn't even look up. "The virus is highly contagious and extremely lethal — it causes severe genetic damage to any living organism it infects."

He paused, then added grimly, "In short — this virus is a weapon."

A spark of interest flashed in the man's eyes.

"If that's the case," Nathan said calmly, "then I have a proposal."

"Death-row inmates."

The scientist nodded slowly. "If we test this virus on primates or other lifeforms, it could cause extreme mutations, turning them into bioweapons — dangerously infectious and unstable."

At that, he couldn't help but think of his other boss — Wesker.

"Ask Wesker," Nathan replied. "Let him decide."

The reversal research on the virus was progressing slowly but steadily.

All Nathan needed now was patience.

Back at Hawke Industries, he reviewed a report from Andre.

"I saw Tony Stark with a bald guy — is that his girlfriend or what? They looked worried. Are they heading out soon?"

Andre, who had been sent to monitor Stark's activities, had returned after seeing enough.

"Did they notice you?" Nathan asked.

"Nope, don't worry," Andre replied, raising an eyebrow.

Nathan rested his chin on his hand and stared at him.

"Okay, fine," Andre admitted, "I almost got caught. But hey — I didn't. Relax."

Nathan's lips curled. "Tonight's your first official appearance as a superhero. Don't disappoint me."

Andre grinned. "Of course not, boss."

"Then let's begin."

As the team got into position, Andre changed into his uniform and led the way. Nathan and the Invisible Man suited up as well, heading to a vantage point to watch Marvel's "opening act."

Everything unfolded just as written in the script.

Boom!

A battered, furious Tony Stark was thrown across the battlefield. The faceplate of his Iron Man armor clattered to the ground.

"Sir," JARVIS reported, "armor integrity down to fifteen percent."

"Crap…"

Inside the massive Iron Monger suit, Obadiah Stane loomed over him, savoring the sight.

He controlled the Iron Monger's arms, grabbing Tony by the throat and lifting him high.

A miniature energy blast struck the Iron Monger, staggering it.

Tony gasped in pain, barely conscious.

"Goodbye, Tony," Obadiah sneered. "Stane Industries will carry on your legacy."

Then —

"Am I late?"

The voice came from above.

Obadiah turned. "Super V?"

Frowning, he swung Tony's limp body aside and aimed his rotary cannon at the newcomer — Andre, floating confidently in his black-and-white suit.

"Die, kid."

The six-barreled minigun spun to life.

Ratatatatatatata!

Andre darted through the air, dodging the barrage with effortless grace.

He smirked. "You know, killing you would be easy…"

"…but this is my debut — so I have to look cool."

He raised a hand. A wave of telekinetic force smashed into Iron Monger's left arm.

Crack!

The armor shattered, and Tony fell to the ground, unconscious.

"Let's end this."

Andre roared, unleashing a massive psychic blast that hit Iron Monger like a shockwave.

BOOM!

Metal plates tore off. The ground fractured beneath the force, sending debris flying and filling the air with dust and smoke.

"Whoa…"

Andre tilted his head, admiring his own work.

The Iron Monger's gun arm sparked and snapped off.

Andre appeared behind the mech, placing a glowing hand on its back.

A ripple of invisible energy spread outward — and inside, Obadiah Stane slumped unconscious.

"Now they'll drag him out, the media will show up, and tomorrow's headlines will be all about me — Super V."

The thought made Andre grin.

He hauled the unconscious Stane out of the armor — just as reporters flooded the area, cameras flashing.

Holding Stane in one arm, Andre waved with the other.

"Hey there, folks."

"Hey, Super V — I remember you!" Tony Stark called weakly from the ground.

The reporters gasped. "Tony Stark? Why is he here?"

Watching from afar, Agent Coulson's expression darkened.

A furious voice came through his earpiece:"I said seal off the area! How did the media get in? Evacuate now!"

Coulson ran forward — he did not want to end up reassigned to Siberia.

Agents began clearing the area, shoving cameras away.

"Damn it," one reporter muttered. "This is why I hate S.H.I.E.L.D."

Coulson reached Andre. "Super V! Wait—"

But Andre had already taken off into the sky, leaving only the echo of camera clicks behind — proof that he was real, and he could fly.

Meanwhile, Nathan Hawke felt a new surge of power — the summoning force growing stronger.

"The Invisible Man's gone," came a report.

"Got it," Nathan said softly.

The Invisible Man stood silently behind him, watching as a faint six-pointed star began glowing on the lab floor.

Electric serpents crackled through the air.

"Where… am I?"

The newcomer was wreathed in crackling blue lightning.

Nathan narrowed his eyes. "Energy manipulation?"

"I'm Electro!" the man shouted. "Where's Spider-Man?! Where is he?!"

But before he could move, his energy began to fade — his glowing body slowly reverting to human form.

"What—what's happening to me?!"

Nathan watched calmly.
