Chapter 12 - "The Healing Fruit's Second Power."

Logan's gentle concern made Kaya's heart flutter. She nodded obediently.

"Alright, next—let's try limb regeneration."

With a swift motion, Logan's knife flashed down—slice!—and a chicken leg was cleanly severed.

After two seconds of stunned silence, the poor bird let out a piercing screech.

Kaya didn't dare to hesitate. Her small hands glowed white, enveloping the bloody stump.

Nami and Makino's mouths dropped open again, completely speechless.

Before their eyes, the chicken's wound began to move—flesh twitching, wriggling, and growing anew.

Time dragged on. Kaya's little face turned crimson, and sweat beaded on her forehead.

It was obvious—regenerating a lost limb took far more energy than healing ordinary wounds.

After two exhausting minutes, a brand-new chicken leg, slightly different in color, had completely formed.

The rooster sprang up, full of life again.

But before anyone could celebrate, it shot Logan a terrified look, flapped its wings, and bolted for its life.

A devil.

This guy was a damn devil.

"Phew… Brother Logan, it worked!"

Kaya's voice was weak; she looked ready to collapse.

Logan quickly caught her, steadying her with a smile.

"Good job. Rest for now."

The experiment was a success, and Logan's face lit up with delight. He was about to help Kaya back to her room—

—when suddenly, a thought hit him.

According to the system, the Healing Fruit could cure all diseases, even regenerate lost limbs… but there was another effect.

It could also remove negative conditions.

Wait… would fatigue count as a negative condition?

Holding onto that thought, Logan decided to test it. He raised his palm, letting the same white light spread over Kaya.

Unlike her own healing, his aura was much larger and brighter.

Kaya looked confused at first—but soon, her eyes went wide.

She felt it—her exhaustion melting away in seconds.

In just a few breaths, her energy was fully restored.

Though her forehead still glistened with sweat, she didn't feel tired at all.

"How do you feel?" Logan asked, eyes gleaming with excitement.

"I—I'm not tired anymore," Kaya said in disbelief.

Just as he thought.

Logan's heart soared.

If this really worked, then technically… couldn't he loop this effect forever?

Anytime there was a negative state—just remove it instantly, and repeat indefinitely.

Wasn't that basically a human perpetual motion machine?

Wait… if that's the case…

Logan's eyes suddenly went dark with mischief.

If fatigue could be erased, then after every "study session" with the girls about navigation—

Couldn't they just… go again?

And again?

Every time he was forced to stop, it wasn't because he was tired—it was because the girls were.

But if he could erase their fatigue afterward…

Then technically, they could just keep going.

Until everyone was completely satisfied.

…This could actually work.

Logan licked his lips, a wicked gleam flickering in his eyes. He had to test it.

"Ahem…" Logan coughed lightly, quickly forming a plan.

"Brother Logan, are you alright?" Kaya asked with concern.

Looking her straight in the eye, Logan said seriously, "Kaya, do you trust me?"

"Of course I do!" she replied without hesitation.

"And if I needed your help with something, would you refuse me?"

Kaya shook her head firmly. "Never! I'd help you with anything, Brother Logan."

After all, this was the man who'd driven away Kuro and spent five years of his own life force curing her illness.

To Kaya, Logan wasn't just a hero—he was her savior.

She could never repay that debt.

Beside them, Nami and Makino exchanged knowing looks.

They could already guess where this was heading.

And this time, they were sure of it.

Neither dared to interrupt.

Every woman Logan had ever set his eyes on—none had escaped his "guidance."

If they messed up his plan now, they'd be the next ones to suffer.

Seeing Kaya agree so earnestly, Logan could barely contain his grin.

Anything, huh?

Perfect.

"Brother Logan, what is it you need help with?" Kaya asked innocently.

Logan clutched his leg, faking a grimace.

"Kaya, my leg feels… swollen. Can you take me to your room and heal it for me?"

Seeing his pained expression, Kaya didn't doubt a thing.

She completely forgot Logan could heal himself too.

After politely telling Nami and Makino, she supported Logan into her room.

Makino sighed as the door closed behind them. "Captain's such a bad man… his leg's perfectly fine, and he still tricks girls."

Nami shrugged. "He didn't lie though. He never said which leg."

Makino froze—then blushed, glaring playfully at her.

"Honestly… you're younger than me. How do you even know this stuff?"

Inside Kaya's room—

The devil finally showed his fangs.

Kaya was flustered, but the trust she felt for Logan outweighed her fear.

After a few moments of "basic instruction," Logan officially began "teaching" her navigation.

Compared to how he'd "taught" Nami, this session was much gentler.

Kaya's illness had healed, but her body was still frail—she couldn't handle anything too intense.

So Logan carefully adjusted his "lesson plan" to her limits.

Of course, his real goal wasn't just to "teach" her—he wanted to test his theory.

An hour later, the first "lesson" was done.

Just as Kaya thought they were taking a break, a familiar white glow enveloped her once more.

Her strength returned in an instant.

Kaya panicked—visibly, completely.

By sunset—

When Kaya finally emerged from her room, clinging shyly to Logan's arm, Nami wordlessly raised a thumb.

The meaning was crystal clear.

Makino smirked. "Nice voice, by the way."

Kaya's face turned crimson all the way to her ears.

If there'd been a crack in the floor, she would've crawled into it.

It wasn't her fault—she just couldn't control it…

Utterly embarrassed, Kaya hung her head, unable to meet their eyes.

Logan quickly jumped in to save her. "Ahem… from now on, we're all family, so don't tease Kaya too much."

Nami pouted. "Please, we can barely protect ourselves. Like we'd dare mess with her."

"....."
