Kaya sneaked a glance at Logan.
So Nami and Makino had already been...
What a bad brother.
"Nami, what did you just say?" Logan grinned mischievously at her.
With the Healing Fruit in his possession, he was confident he could make Nami soar to the heavens.
Nami stuck out her tongue, ducked behind Makino, and quickly surrendered.
Sure, she liked bickering with Logan all the time, but she wasn't dumb enough to actually provoke him.
Otherwise… she'd be doomed.
Her poor "receiver" deserved a few days' rest, after all.
Seeing Nami back down, Logant raised an eyebrow and led the girls out for dinner.
Later that night, back in his room, Logan finally started to claim his reward.
After bringing Kaya under his wing, the familiar system notification rang in his ears.
"Claim reward."
[Congratulations, Host, you've obtained the Logia-type: Weather-Weather Fruit.]
A flash of white light filled the room, and a brilliantly colored Devil Fruit appeared before Logan's eyes.
He stared at it, heartbeat racing.
Why was he this excited?!
Because "weather" wasn't just one element.
From what he knew, it covered wind, rain, thunder, lightning, clouds, snow, frost, and fog.
In other words, whoever ate this fruit could command multiple elements at once.
Monet's Snow-Snow Fruit?Covered.
The Thunder-Thunder Fruit, said to be the most destructive Logia?Covered.
The Wind-Wind Fruit rumored to belong to Dragon of the Revolutionary Army? Also covered.
Everything rolled into one.
Absolutely broken.
Logan took a few deep breaths, trying to calm down.
There was no doubt who this fruit should go to—Nami.
She was already a genius navigator, and this Devil Fruit fit her perfectly.
Besides, sure, they bickered all the time, but in Logan's eyes, that was just their way of flirting.
Who said flirting had to mean making out?
He definitely had a soft spot for Nami.
And since he could share abilities with whoever ate the fruit…
Oh, that was sweet.
Satisfied, Logan carefully stowed away the Weather-Weather Fruit, planning to surprise Nami later.
A few days passed.
Inside the mansion, Kaya finally understood why Logan had insisted they stay a few extra days—she was staring at the tied-up forms of Jango, Sam, and Buchi.
The three squirmed and struggled wildly, still completely dazed.
A few days ago, Captain Kuro had contacted them, saying everything was going according to plan.
They just had to be ready to act.
But when the time came… Kuro vanished into thin air.
After some discussion, they came to check things out—only to be instantly defeated.
"Logan, who are these guys?" Kaya asked, frowning.
Logan glanced at them lazily. "Kuro's men. Core members of the Black Cat Pirates."
Kaya's heart skipped a beat.
Logan took a sip of tea and continued, "Kuro planned to have them attack the village. While the chaos unfolded, Jango here would hypnotize you into writing a will, leaving everything to Kuro."
He pointed at Jango. "Oh right, I mentioned a hypnotist before? That's him."
"You bastard! Where's Captain Kuro?! What did you do to him?!" Jango shouted furiously, struggling against his ropes.
Before Logan could answer, Nami stepped up and kicked him hard. "You're tied up and still mouthing off?!"
"What do you think I did?" Logan said casually. "Sent him on his way, of course."
He shook his head with mock pity. "Honestly, Kuro was such an idiot. If it were me, I'd win over a kind, gentle, beautiful girl like Kaya, marry her, and live a comfortable life."
Wouldn't that mean getting both the girl and the fortune?
Wouldn't that be a proper life under the sun?
But no—he just had to go down the dark road.
Kaya blushed, lowering her head shyly.
Still… she didn't hate it when Logan praised her like that.
"Heh. You? Beat Captain Kuro?" Jango sneered, scanning Logan up and down. "Don't make me laugh."
In the East Blue, he could name everyone capable of taking down Kuro—Logan wasn't one of them.
Logan didn't bother arguing. In a flash, he used teleportation several times in a row, dumping the three men on a deserted island.
Didn't they want to meet Kuro?
Fine. He'd let them meet him.
Well… kind of.
The beasts there were kind enough to leave two bones behind.
With that done, Logan returned to the mansion.
Turn them over to the Marines?
Ha.
As if.
Scum like that didn't deserve redemption or a "fresh start" in the Navy.
He just sent them straight to hell.
When Logan reappeared, the girls could tell from his expression that everything had been taken care of.
As for what happened to those men—none of them particularly cared.
Clapping his hands with a grin, Logan announced, "Alright, my beautiful crewmates, the villains have been dealt with! Time to set sail for our next adventure."
Kaya jumped up, eyes shining. "Really? We're finally going to sea!"
A dream she'd held for over ten years—finally coming true.
"Thank you, Logan." She leaned in and pecked him lightly on the cheek.
"Let's go!" Nami cheered.
Despite all their bickering, she'd never felt so at ease before.
Every day they argued, yet somehow it just felt… right.
"Looks like I joined a pretty great crew," she thought with a small smile. "And a pretty great captain too."
Makino chuckled softly and followed along.
Just as they stepped outside, they ran into Usopp waiting by the gate.
He looked nervous. "Kaya… are you really leaving Syrup Village?"
Kaya glanced at Renault and nodded with a smile. "Yeah, Usopp. I'm going to sail with Logan. I want to see the world outside. I probably won't be back anytime soon."
Usopp lowered his head, looking dejected.
Then, suddenly, he looked up with determination. "Logan! Can I join your crew?!"
Logan: "…"
Absolutely not.
He was about to refuse when he suddenly froze, raising an eyebrow and glancing into the distance. A faint grin tugged at his lips.
"Usopp, my crew probably isn't the right one for you," he said slowly. "But the crew that is right for you… just arrived."
"....."
