"What do you mean you found the one?"
"I don't know,but it seems like it. Kathy you needed to have seen him,he is perfect." you know what I have been looking for all along, I just need to confirm a few things." Serena said dreamily.
"OMG finally Renie, so who is this man that manage to capture my dear Renie's heart?"
"Hmmm that's the problem,I don't know his name,I don't know anything about him" Serena said sadly.
"How do you intend to find him then,If you had known his name or something I would have had my dad's personal aide search for him."
"I don't know Kathy but I believe if it was meant to be I would see him again, then I would know for sure that it's fate." Serena replied determinedly.
"Either way Rena,I'm so happy for you,you should not let anything weigh you down and just live your life." Kathy said, Serena smiled "her ever resilient Kathy." she thought.
"We actually kissed." Serena whispered shyly with her head casted downward.
" What do you mean you kissed,don't tell me you willingly gave your first kiss to a total stranger, Are you out of your mind Rena?"
"Calm down,I was the one that initiated it okay and I don't regret it:"
"Of course you won't." Kathy said grumbling "so tell me how was it? I need lengthy details,spill the tea."
That is the thing with Kathy,she is always extra with everything and bubbly. She does that thing when she calls me Rena anytime she is kinda upset with me and calls me Renie when she is happy, so I can already tell she was not that happy about the fact that I kissed someone she does not even know, I use to feel Kathy sometimes shuns the guys that wanted to ask me out back then in school,according to her they were not deserving of her perfect Serena.
"It was actually so good, I almost did not want it to end. I did not know a kiss was supposed to feel that good but then he turned around and said "I was not the one for him." and left me there "what does that mean?"
"How dare him?" Kathy exclaimed as she stood up from where she had been sitting furious now "Renie he rejected you."
"I know that but I just don't know what to do now, Kathy I actually told him I wanted a one night stand with him." Serena said as she use the both of her hands to cover her face in embarrassment.
"Most men will normally jump at the opportunity if a girl told them that, I don't know why he will say that or maybe he is a pretty decent man and does not want to take advantage of you,now I wish you had ask for a card or something instead of just blunting out the very first thing that came to your mind but either way I'm so proud of you." Kathy said with her thumbs up, Serena could not help smiling shyly.
"I believe I would see him again" she muttered to herself.
"What do you plan on doing today? Are you going to the children's shelter?" Kathy asked
"Yes,I'll be going now,I just had my breakfast."
"Let's go then." Kathy replied.
On reaching the children's shelter, they both came down from Serena's car and entered the gate to the Children's shelter "Good day Miss Serena and Miss Kathy." the gatekeeper greeted them both expectantly.
"Good day sir,how's Maria doing now?" Serena greeted him back,Maria had just recently gave birth through Caesarean Section, She was told she would be staying at the hospital for some time.
Serena had been so worried about her since she left the hospital where she was admitted
"Oh Maria is doing quite well and the baby is lovely,she started walking around the hospital just yesterday night." he said happily.
"That such a relief to hear." Serena said has she released the breath she did not know she had been holding in.
"Congratulations on your baby sir."Kathy congratulated the gatekeeper.
"Thanks Ma'am Kathy,and thank you for helping us settle the bill."
"Come on now,I've told you to stop thanking me it is nothing and you know it, we are all family here." she told the man.
The gatekeeper smiled at her as they walked right passed him and went inside the shelter
"Rena, I just received a text from Ethan,apparently there is a trouble maker clients that refuse to give her measurements without seeing me." Kathy said apologetically.
"That is not a problem but how will you go back when we came with my car."
"Don't be silly,there's always a cab waiting. " Kathy said as she hurriedly kissed Serena cheeks and rushed out.
"Bye girl,and please, no over speeding tell the driver." Serena shouted after her,Kathy had a thing where she loves driving in high speed and always end up getting in trouble with the cops,reasons why she does not bring her car around all the time, Serena thought as she shake her head "Silly girl." she said as she made her way into the foster care shelter for kids.
On entering,she heard a loud and joyful cry "REE!!!"
she turned to the direction of the voice,
"ABI!!!" She called back as the most precious person in her life,well apart from her grandparents and Kathy,ran to her beeming happily.
"Ree, have missed you"the young girl said
"I've missed you more Abi, how's my little pumpkin doing?" She asked as she squatted to the girls level to brush the lose strands of hair that had fallen to cover the little girl's adorable face.
"I'm not fine,you said you missed me,yet you did not come for my appointment on Thursday "the girl said pouting as she huffed at Serena and turned away from her angrily
If anything Serena hates to see this girl angry or be the cause of her sadness.
"I'm so sorry pumpkin but I was so busy, you know my nasty boss I told you about,he wouldn't let me go home on time that very day," Serena explained.
"Oh,I hate him so much" Abi said.
"I told you pumpkin,hate is a strong word" Serena cautioned her.
