"Wait a second! Do you see what he's holding?!" Jin zoomed in on the device that the man was holding, but the image was blurry. "Enhance the resolution." The computer enhanced the image, and the pixelated image became clear as day.
"Isn't that the rifle from the records?" Addison asked
"Yes. It seems like he was the last one seen with it. Maybe he's putting it up?" Jin's assumption was proven false when three masked people walked into the warehouse from the side door. All of them wore masks, but they had tattoos on their arms, tattoos that belonged to the brotherhood.
"A-Are they working together?"
Jin quickly figured out if the videos had audio, and when he saw that they did, he turned it on.
"You're late." The man said.
"Traffic." One of the gang members replied. He was clearly messing around. "Is this what we're looking for?"
"Yes. This is the latest model of the power dampener. It was designed to permanently strip criminals of their power, but the government deemed it too dangerous, so the project was canceled. I continued the work and completed it."
The scientist felt proud and handed the rifle to the gang.
"Why a rifle?" One of them asked.
"It's fast, powerful, and unexpected. Most women would either take the hit from this weapon or be fine with getting hit by it, even if they were trying to avoid being hit by it."
The other men nodded. "That makes sense."
"Have you tested it?"
The man grinned. "Sure did. Works like a charm. I used it on my mother, and she's been powerless since then. It's been 3 months. I fucking hate that bitch."
"Good. Can this also be used as a regular weapon?"
The man nodded. It works like a normal weapon and only takes the powers from women."
"Good. Clench your teeth, I'm setting this to stun."
The man nodded, then got blasted in the chest. After that, the other men turned the weapon back to its normal setting, then blasted a hole into the warehouse door, where four more men entered, stealing a large cannon from the inventory and leaving on a truck.
"Fuck, we were followed by the viper gang! Light 'em up!"
After that, the footage went dark.
"So this scientist is working with them. I have to tell my mother!" Addison flew off to her house.
Jin also flew back to the academy so he could continue to go over the footage and use some of the information he downloaded from the records room to improve his power kit.

A knock at Jin's door early in the morning woke Jin up. It was the weekend, so they had time off and would have to work out and train on their own.
"Ngh, who is it?"
"Open the door," Addison demanded, not even responding to Jin's question.
"Good morning to you, too." Jin opened the door and welcomed Addison inside. "What are you doing here too early in the morning?"
"I researched the Viper Gang and found out where their base is."
"So?"
"So, we're going to pay them a little visit."
Jin groaned, stuffing his face into his pillow. "Now?!"
"Yes, now. Get up. We can question them on why they were at the warehouse and get some answers."
"Fine. I'll get dressed." Jin started to strip as he opened his closet.
"W-What are you doing?!" Addison, who barely shows emotion besides annoyance, blushed from looking at Jin's bare, muscular chest.
"Getting ready."
"Do you just take off your clothes in front of other girls around here?"
Jin simply shrugged. "I don't take my shirt off in front of random people, but if I know them, then I don't mind."
"That's...You're weird."
"That's probably the nicest thing you've ever said to me." Jin finished getting ready and opened his window. "Let's go."
Without wasting any time, he jumped out, activated his power kit, and then started flying. Addison followed, closing the distance between them.
She pointed to where the Viper Gang's base was. "Follow me."
They flew over the city, looking at it from above as they got closer to their destination. When the base was in sight, both of them stopped flying so they wouldn't draw any attention.
Addison nodded at the building they were standing in front of. "This is the place."
"Wow. This place looks nice."
They were standing in front of a very nice-looking house with a garden, sprinklers, and even a paved driveway.
"How much do I need to make so I can live in a house like this?"
"Why would you need to live in a house like this? You can just live with me." Addison didn't see why Jin would settle for a small house when hers was a lot bigger.
"Right." Walking up to the door, Jin knocked on it and waited for someone to answer.
When someone arrived, it sounded like multiple locks were being undone before the door finally swung open.
"Who are you two little fuckers?" A woman dressed in oversized, baggy clothes with tattoos on her face stepped out of the house, closing the door behind her.
"Hi. My name is Carl, and this is Carla. We're from the humanitarian agency, and we've seen that your yard could use some work. Do you mind if we exchange some information?" Jin asked.
The woman looked at the yard, then back at Jin with a frown on her face. "Homles, that's fake grass. And I never heard of a humanitarian knocking on people's doors. There wasn't even a fucking storm!"
"Really, Jin?"
"I really didn't think out our secret identities." He placed his palm on the woman's chest and zapped her until she was out cold.
"After you, my lady." Jin bowed.
"Shouldn't I be the one doing that?"
"Right. It's a habit of mine, growing up in a patriarchal society and all."
Addison chuckled. "You're really funny, Jin."
"Thanks, I usually choose which personality I want to go with in my closet before I start my day."
