"Even the inside of the house looks normal." Jin walked behind Addison as they entered the house, looking around to see if anyone was there that they could talk to.
Addison had told him that she used her company's satellite to find the leader of the boss and saw her enter this house.
They checked every room, opened every door, and even shouted for people, but no one answered. The house was quiet and empty. Not even drugs were found.
Addison stomped her foot out of anger. "Dammit! I thought they would be here."
"No, they are, but just underground. I'm looking at a huge basement with a bunch of people down there, both men and women. Looks like they're working." Jin said while staring at the floor, looking through it.
"How can you see down there without your mask?"
"Super contacts." Jin developed special contacts that allow him to use some features from his mask. He wasn't strong enough to see through objects with his magic yet.
"Cool." Addison stomped the ground super hard, and the entire floor caved in, dropping them to the lower level where the gang members were.
"What the fuck?!"
"What's going on?"
"Are we under attack?"
"It must be the brotherhood gang!"
When the dust cleared, Jin, fully decked out in his power kit, and Addison were walking toward everyone.
"Stop where you are!"
"Who are you people?!"
"We're here to talk with your boss. We just want to ask some questions. After that, we'll be on our way." Addiond didn't care to fight them, but if she needed to, she didn't mind putting them in their place.
"Like hell we'll take you to our boss!"
"Yeah!"
"40." Jin counted. "I'm guessing these aren't all of them, but there are 40 gang members here."
A smile appeared on Addison's face. "Less than I thought."
"Why are you two kids looking for me?" A woman walked forward smoking a cigar.
"You're the leader of the viper gang?"
"That's right. I'm Viper. Now, if you kids don't tell me why you're here, I'll kill ya both."
"Why did the Brotherhood steal from Bellmire Coprerations?" Addison asked.
"How the fuck am I supposed to know? I'm not their boss."
"But you followed them to the warehouse that Bellmire owns and chased them when they were trying to flee." Jin was able to put the pieces together after watching the video. He didn't know that it was the viper gang that he shot at with Yuria.
"And my people were killed by them and that...wait a minute. You! You were there! You killed some of my people!" Viper's hands started to turn green and watery. A drop of liquid fell on the floor, eating through it.
'Acid.' Jin said to himself.
"And you're Addison Bellmire. Hahaha! Today is my lucky day! I get to kill the bastard who killed my people, and take Adeline's daughter captive? Ha, get 'em girls."
Everyone attacked Jin and Addison at the same time. Unfortunately, they were outclassed in skill by Jin and in power by Addison.
Jin made easy work of the people who attacked him. His power kit was more advanced than others, making it easier to handle people with powers, and he short-circuited the power kits of the men, knocking them out cold.
Addison brute-forced her way through all of her opponents, making light work of every single one of them. They stood no chance. Viper tried to spray her with acid, but it didn't even do anything to Addison.
Viper started running away. "Crazy bitch!"
A cable was fired from Jin's wrist, wrapping around Viper's body, and he dragged her back, then placed her in power-restraining cuffs.
"I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING."
Jin and Addison didn't even have time to intimidate her.
"Listen! All I know is that the Brotherhood was taking orders from a bigger organization, okay? They wanted them to steal some piece of tech and then hired us to make it look like they wanted it for a gang war or something! I don't know!"
"Where can we find the people behind this bigger organization?"
"I-I don't know, but I do know that they hang out at the Casino the Brotherhood gang owns."
"Thanks." Jin knocked Viper out with a punch to the face and made sure to record their conversation.
"Do you know where this casino is?" Addison asked
"Nope, but your mom does."

"But mom!"
"Not only did you break into my company, AGAIN, but you also went through classified information and questioned a gang member! You could have been hurt! You don't even know who could have been listening. And you, young man, I'm very disappointed in you."
"That's fine. I wasn't hoping you would be proud of me." Jin was sitting in Adeline's home office next to Addison when they asked if she could get them into the Brotherhood casino.
"Why are you even after the Brotherhood? I thought this matter was closed with the police."
"Technically, this is off the books. Think of it as a passion project."
Adeline called bullshit. "You expect me to believe that?"
"You are free to believe whatever you want."
"You know I can get you kicked out of the Aegis Corps for this."
"Really?!" That was probably the best news Jin had heard since reincarnating in this world. "Yes, I've done illegal things that must be reported to the Principal of the institute. Oh no, I will get kicked out. That's too bad."
"You want to get kicked out, huh?" Adeline caught on.
"No," Jin answered back
"Listen, kids. While I'm impressed with your ability to break into my company without arousing suspicion, I can't let you know the whereabouts of the Casino."
"Really? Because it was your own people who allowed them to break into your company. Not only that, but they stole the permanent power dampener."
That managed to catch Adeline's attention. "What do you mean? We put an end to that project years ago. The government deemed it too dangerous."
"Look." Jin showed her the deleted footage and even the recording he had of Viper.
"T-This...I need to make a phone call."
This got Addison hopeful. "So can you tell us where—"
"No! Now, leave my office, and Jin, give what you have to the police. They need to know about this."
