Chapter 8 - The shadow in the Night

Zita's eyes locked onto Amina's, her mind reeling with the implications of the evidence. She knew that she had to be careful, that she had to tread carefully if she wanted to bring the person responsible to justice.

"Where is the evidence?" Zita asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Amina's expression was grim. "It is hidden, Zita. Hidden in a place where only a few people know it exists."

Zita's eyes narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. What was the evidence? And where was it hidden?

As she stood there, frozen in thought, Amina spoke again. "But I will give it to you, Zita. I will give it to you tonight, under the light of the full moon."

Zita felt a surge of excitement, of anticipation. She knew that she was getting close, that she was on the brink of uncovering the truth.

As she nodded, Amina turned and disappeared into the shadows, leaving Zita alone in the room. Zita stood there, her heart pounding in her chest, as she waited for the night to come.

The hours ticked by slowly, the palace growing quiet as the night deepened. Zita made her way to the appointed place, a small courtyard hidden deep within the palace walls. The full moon cast an silver glow over the courtyard, illuminating the shadows.

Amina was waiting for her, a small package in her hand. "Here, Zita," she said, her voice low and urgent. "This is the evidence. Take it, and use it to bring the person responsible to justice."

Zita took the package, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that she was holding the key to the truth, the key to unlocking the secrets of her brother's disappearance.

As she opened the package, a small piece of paper slipped out, bearing a single message. "Look to the king's closest advisor," it read. "Look to Lord Arden."

Zita's eyes widened as she realized that the evidence pointed to Lord Arden, the king's closest advisor. She felt a surge of excitement, of anticipation. She knew that she was getting close, that she was on the brink of uncovering the truth.

But as she turned to leave, she saw a shadow lurking in the night, a shadow that seemed to be watching her. Zita's heart skipped a beat as she realized that she was not alone, that someone was waiting for her in the darkness.
