Somewhere inside the space station—
Bai Ming slowly opened her eyes, still sprawled on the floor in what could only be described as a team leader pose.
The very first thing she felt upon waking was a sharp, throbbing pain at the back of her head.
"Ughhh—"
She winced, pressing her palm to her scalp.
"Ow… what the heck happened to me?"
Squinting in confusion, Bai Ming tried to recall what had just occurred.
There was… a girl who looked a lot like Duckie, but when Bai Ming called her "Hacker Bunny," she got mad.
And another one—
Right!
A woman with a voice so soft and gentle it could have been a lullaby… someone who could absolutely pass for a mom.
That woman had pushed her against the wall.
Bai Ming thought for sure she was about to score a kiss—but instead, she'd been grabbed by the neck, pinned, and promptly knocked out cold.
"Ugh! Damn it!" she groaned, clutching her head. "If I'd known it was gonna end like that, I should've at least kissed her back to break even!"
She pouted in frustration. "Getting wall-slammed for free… what a scam! Like at least kiss me first!"
Still muttering complaints, Bai Ming started to take in her surroundings.
Wait—what had they said before?
Something about this being… reality?
That thought alone made her golden eyes widen in disbelief.
All around her—walls, ceiling, and floor alike—were made of dark gray metal. Strange markings glowed faintly across their surface, lines of code and designations she couldn't decipher.
A little ways ahead stood a massive sealed door, thick and imposing.
Everything about this place screamed high-tech sci-fi.
Bai Ming pinched her own cheek—hard.
"Ow, ow, ow!"
…It hurt.
So it was real.
Just a moment ago, she had been at home, living the lazy life of a full-time couch potato. And now—this.
"At least let me spend all my crystals before dropping me into another world!" she cried dramatically, holding her face in despair.
And then—
A low hum filled the air.
As a strange sound echoed beside her ears, a brand-new interface flickered into view before Bai Ming's eyes.
[Congratulations]
[Honkai Impact 3rd — Date Exchange System Activated]
[Go on dates with girls, trigger heart-pounding events, and accumulate Crystals to perform ten-pull gacha draws for various rewards!]
[Expansion Supply]
[Precision Supply]
[Outfit Supply]
[Home Supply]
[Single Draw]
[Ten Draws]
Bai Ming blinked a few times, then froze in realization.
"Wait… isn't this the Honkai 3 gacha screen?!"
Memories came flooding back—the trauma of pulling for Herrscher of Human: Ego.
"Seventy thousand crystals just to finish the set! I'm literally the unluckiest captain alive!" she groaned.
Apparently, even after crossing into another world, her bad luck had followed her here.
Still, since this was the only thing that seemed to have come along with her, she had no choice but to investigate it.
"Alright then… let's try a Ten Draw first! There's always a guaranteed pull on the tenth one!"
But—
The moment she pressed the glowing blue button, a chime sounded in her ears.
["Insufficient mineral reserves."]
"Eh? Insufficient what now?"
Startled, Bai Ming's gaze drifted from the menu to the top-right corner of the screen, where a familiar crystal-shaped icon hovered in mid-air.
She knew that icon all too well—Honkai 3's crystals, now accompanied by a massive zero beside it.
"…So this is some kind of isekai where you start from zero with no funds situation?"
But there was no recharge option anywhere!
Scratching her cheek in confusion, she noticed a small question-mark symbol next to the zero.
Curious, she tapped it—only for her eyes to widen in delight.
A new tooltip appeared:
[How to Obtain Crystals]
"Oh, so there is a way to earn some!" she said, perking up as she eagerly tapped the button.
[Ways to Get More Crystals]
—Go on dates with girls and make them blush.
[Trigger Heart-Pounding Events]
(As the number of girls you date increases, each new relationship will grant you additional Crystal bonuses.)
(Note: If a relationship is denied, Crystal acquisition will stop. If the relationship isn't restored within three days, it will be permanently terminated.)
---
Staring at the glowing text on the screen, Bai Ming began to analyze carefully.
"So… to get Crystals, I have to go on dates with girls."
That part was fine. She didn't mind that at all—in fact, she enjoyed hanging out with cute girls. Her face was thick enough to handle some teasing situations.
The real issue lay in those second and third warnings.
Bai Ming tapped her chin thoughtfully, sensing that there was a deeper meaning hidden between the lines.
For example…
When she looked at those sentences together, they seemed to form another message entirely:
[ "Once you're found out, your crystal-farming career is over."]
That wasn't good. Not good at all.
"Damn it! If I'd known, I would've just kissed the 'Duckie' earlier!"
If she had done that, maybe she'd already have earned her first Crystals!
Just as Bai Ming was busy regretting how her first isekai pull had gone to waste—
Beep—
A mechanical confirmation tone rang out.
Someone was coming!
Bai Ming froze. She didn't know if they were friend or foe, so there was no way she'd reveal herself recklessly.
Glancing around, she quickly laid back down in her previous position and played dead.
At the same time, the [Honkai 3 Date Exchange System] vanished from sight.
Moments later, the heavy door slid open.
Eyes closed, Bai Ming heard two distinct sets of footsteps approach—one light and quick, the other calm and steady.
The sounds drew closer… then stopped.
Judging by the distance, both people were crouched right in front of her.
Their voices became clearer.
First, a low, calm male voice spoke:
"This person's coordinates weren't transmitted by the space station."
Then came a bright, lively female voice:
"C'mon, does it matter right now? The girl is right here in front of us—she's obviously real!"
"The heartbeat and pulse are very weak. March, prepare to perform CPR," the man's calm voice instructed.
"Eh?! What?!" The girl's voice rose in panic, clearly flustered. "I–I don't really have any experience! Dan Heng, you do it instead!"
From her tone, she didn't sound the least bit willing.
There was a brief silence. Bai Ming could feel something moving closer to her. Judging by what she just heard… That guy called Dan Heng was probably really going to follow what the girl named March said and come over to do it himself!
Realizing how bad that would be—and recalling the earlier situation— the combination of panic and embarrassment made Bai Ming act on impulse.
Keeping her eyes tightly shut, she spoke up, forcing her voice to sound weak but clear:
"E-excuse me, you two!"
"I… I have a very special kind of illness! If someone tries to give me artificial respiration, it only works if it's a girl!"
"So… even though I really don't want to say this—"
"Could you please have the girl named March do the mouth-to-mouth instead?"
