She must be a werewolf with a dormant wolf….one that needed to be awakened, or triggered into awakening.
Whatever else she might have, he could try to navigate when the time comes.
"Do you have any idea?" Adrian asked calmly.
"No," Karl replied, his voice unusually subdued. "I only have the desire to stay back in that room and take care of her."
Adrian exhaled slowly.
"Your desire is quite the rich one." He smirked.
He wasn't surprised by the answer. Ever since she had fallen unconscious, Karl had been unusually quiet—as though trapped in the same endless void as Stella, unable to reach her, unable to protect her.
He totally went silent.
"Isn't that right? Besides, you still need to make up for arriving at the Nortons' family late."
Adrian sighed. "Then you might have to wait for an eternity."
"Hey, you can't just say that…make one mistake and pay for it." Karl growled.
"You wish." Adrian smirked.
"Humph! That's why you always let her face danger."
