When Uzumaki Naruto saw the gentle smile on Uzumaki Xinglin's face, he froze.

The moment he felt absolutely certain that the warm woman in front of him was truly his family, something inside Naruto burst open.
He knew he should behave well.

Naruto suddenly lunged forward and threw himself into Xinglin's arms, crying uncontrollably.
Xinglin didn't push him away.
She simply wrapped one arm around him and gently patted his back while he sobbed.
His loud crying drew her daughter, Uzumaki Karin, out of her room.
Karin was livelier here than she had ever been in the Grass Village.
She peeked out and saw a boy crying in her mother's embrace.
She opened her mouth to speak, but Xinglin quickly gestured for her to stay quiet.
Karin shut her mouth and watched curiously without interrupting.
When Naruto's loud sobbing finally turned into small hiccups, Xinglin gave him another gentle pat.
"Naruto, stand up for a moment. I want to introduce you to your little sister. From today on, you two will be family."
She waved Karin over.
When Naruto finally pulled away from Xinglin, blushing in embarrassment, Karin had already run over on her short little legs and stood in front of them.
Naruto's face turned even redder when he saw the cute little girl.
