Chapter 26 - Chapter 25 : The Country of Uzumaki

If the Uchiha wished to reconcile with the villagers, they would have to abandon the Anbu, an institution that antagonized many.

At the same time, to expand their influence, the Uchiha would inevitably encroach on others' territories, provoking rival clans.

If they overstepped, the clans could unite against them.

Arata knew Betsutenjin was not omnipotent....its long cooldown limited its effectiveness.

Ultimately, in the ninja world, power was all that mattered.

Arata rubbed his head, thinking. To see the Uchiha flourish, he had to separate them from Konoha.

The clan had pride; they would never compromise their dignity merely to get along with villagers.

With the decision made, there was much to prepare.

Before the Shisui incident, he needed to select a new clan territory, preferably an island or coastal region, easy to defend, isolated from other nations.

Arata rose and retrieved a detailed ninja-world map from his bookshelf.

In this era, accurate maps were strategic assets, and only an upper-rank ninja could access such resources.

He spread the map across the table, scanning carefully.

He sought overseas islands or coastal territories that could sustain tens of thousands of people, with farmland and water resources aplenty.

As the sun reached its zenith, Arata's eyes fixed on a single location.

A large island, surrounded by water, not far from the mainland, with fertile land and ample water....a perfect fit.

What made him hesitate, however, was the island's name:

The Country of Uzumaki.

This was the ancestral land of the Uzumaki clan, established by Kushina Uzumaki's family.

The Uzumaki were distant relatives of the Senju, inheritors of some of the Sage of Six Paths' power, with immense chakra, extraordinary vitality, and mastery of sealing techniques.

Generations of alliance with the Senju, and the marriage of the First Hokage to Uzumaki Mito, had tied their fates to Konoha.

Mito had even sealed the Nine-Tails within herself to aid Senju Hashirama, becoming the first jinchūriki of the fox.

Arata's face grew complex as he pondered this new prospect.

The seeds of Uzumaki Country's destruction had been planted long ago.

The First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, had distributed the Tailed Beasts from One-Tail to Eight-Tails to various villages to maintain peace and balance power.

While he lived, no village dared act recklessly.

But after the First and Second Hokages passed away, the Senju clan no longer had anyone strong enough to maintain control.

Meanwhile, the leaders of the Uzumaki clan had also died.

Other villages, wanting the Uzumaki's sealing techniques.....which could control Tailed Beasts and protect their own villages.....attacked Uzumaki Country.

The Third Hokage, cautious as ever, delayed sending help, citing war and lack of manpower.

As a result, Uzumaki Country fell, and their powerful sealing techniques were stolen.

Soon, other villages gained their own jinchūriki, some even perfect ones, increasing their combat power. Konoha suddenly found itself struggling.

In short: Uzumaki Country had valuable techniques but no strong defenders.

Konoha, despite their friendship, proved unreliable.

The lesson was clear: never rely fully on others. In critical moments, only your own strength is trustworthy.

Uchiha Arata closed his eyes, thinking carefully.

He tapped Uzumaki Country on the map, deciding where the Uchiha clan would settle in the future.

The Uchiha had no shortage of powerful warriors. Counting Itachi, there were already four Mangekyō Sharingan among them.

Even Shisui's ocular powers, though delicate, didn't stop Arata from activating Susanoo if needed.

With shadow-level fighters in the clan, no one would dare attack recklessly.

Arata studied the map carefully. Even after moving the clan, a small group would stay in Konoha to care for students.

Territory could be rebuilt, but schools took time.

After lunch, Arata brewed tea and sat under the courtyard tree, looking at the clan emblem on the wall. He sipped the tea, exhaling contentedly.

From the moment he received the system yesterday, using his intelligence and the system's guidance, he had surpassed the Mangekyō Sharingan threshold. His strength had grown immensely.

He was no longer just a nameless Uchiha jōnin....he was now the actual leader of the Uchiha clan, a true master of the chessboard.

Time passed quickly. By afternoon, his eyes had adjusted...they no longer felt sore or strained.

The next step: visit the Elder and convince him to approve the relocation. Consulting the clan leader would only be a formality.
