Chapter 31 - Chapter 30 : Mikoto-san, I have a gift for you

When the Uchiha established their power on the island in the Land of Whirlpools, they would be operating independently.

Despite their numbers, there would still be shortages.

As clan head, Fugaku had to take responsibility, encouraging clan members to have children, and together, he

and Arata devised several incentive measures.

Once all was settled, night had fully fallen. Naturally, Arata stayed overnight.

Just as he was about to rest, Mikoto appeared at his door with a late-night snack.

Arata opened the door and saw Mikoto, now dressed in a snug kimono, carrying a tray with food and drinks.

Her eyes held a subtle springtime warmth as they silently exchanged glances, everything unspoken.

Arata stepped aside to let Mikoto in. As she passed, she left a familiar, pleasant fragrance lingering.

Arata watched her graceful, curvaceous figure and couldn't help but inhale sharply.

When Mikoto prepared to place the tray on the table, Arata's eyes lit up.....a clever idea had just struck him.

As Uchiha Arata noticed Mikoto preparing to place the tray on the table, a sudden spark lit up his eyes, as if an idea had struck him.

"Mikoto-san, don't put it down yet.

I'll take you somewhere special."

Mikoto turned her head, puzzled by his words.

Without explanation, Arata activated his Mangekyō Sharingan, marking a spatial seal in the void.

Then he approached her, took her hand, and activated Takama-ga-hara.

Everything flowed naturally. When Arata brought Mikoto to the island in the Takama-ga-hara space, she was utterly stunned.

"Arata-kun, what… is this?" Her eyes sparkled with disbelief.

The scenery had completely transformed. Mikoto, experienced as a Jōnin with a three-tomoe Sharingan, could sense the authenticity.

The gentle breeze, the soft soil beneath her feet, the fresh scent in the air....it all felt real.

Having seen much of the world before, and having once been friends with the Fourth Hokage and Kushina, Mikoto didn't wait for Arata to answer. She speculated:

"Is this some kind of space-time ninjutsu, like the Fourth Hokage's Flying Thunder God?"

Arata, amused by her childlike curiosity, teased:

"Guess again."

Mikoto reconsidered, scanning the surroundings and the sky.

"No… it can't be. It's nighttime outside, but here the sky is still bright. Something's off."

Arata silently nodded to himself. She had quickly noticed the discrepancy.

Indeed, although day and night cycles existed in Takama-ga-hara, darkness here lagged about six hours behind the outside world.

So while it was deep night outside, here night was just beginning.

Even at full night in Takama-ga-hara, the sky maintained a faint light, never fully dark.

Seeing Mikoto still examining the surroundings, puzzled, Arata stepped forward.

He gently took the tray from her and set it on a nearby stone, while his other arm slid around her slender waist.

Mikoto felt the embrace, her cheeks flushing, but she didn't resist. Instead, she leaned into him.

Arata made no other move, simply holding her as they took in the island's view.

They stood at the center of the island, slightly elevated, with a clear view of most of the landscape.

Arata spoke softly:

"Mikoto-san, you know I awakened my Mangekyō Sharingan, right?"

Mikoto leaned comfortably against him. Arata was the most important person in her life....she would gladly give her life for him. She felt happy in his arms.

Blushing, she replied teasingly:

"If you hadn't awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan, how could you possibly be holding me like this?"

Arata chuckled awkwardly. "I awakened a new dojutsu called Takama-ga-hara. It's a spatial-type Sharingan.

This technique links to the Takama-ga-hara space. I can travel here, and bring anyone I wish.

I can also mark spatial seals, which let me return to those marked locations anytime. I can even bring you along, Mikoto-san, to see different places safely."

Her eyes shone with admiration. "You're amazing… this technique is even more powerful than the Fourth Hokage's Flying Thunder God."

Arata shook his head modestly. "Compared to the Fourth's Flying Thunder God, it's still weaker.

My technique is more suited for survival and travel, less so for combat."

After explaining, Arata activated his Mangekyō Sharingan again, looking into her eyes.

"Mikoto-san, I have a gift for you. Please don't resist. I hope you like it."

Mikoto gazed at his delicate Mangekyō Sharingan, unafraid, and nodded softly.

Marking a spatial seal on a person was far more complex than on an object.

The seal had to link to the person's chakra, allowing them to activate it whenever needed.

Arata carefully examined her, finally settling on her smooth forehead as the mark's location.

It was his first time marking a person...and on someone he car

ed for most.

Naturally, he proceeded with caution.
