Friday arrived, and Emma was stunning in her sky blue ball gown. The floor-length, strapless dress featured daring thigh-high slits, showcasing her toned legs. Delicate embroidery adorned the fitted bodice, accentuating her curves. Her hair cascaded down her back in loose waves, complemented by subtle makeup.
Mandy stood beside her, admiring the gown. "You look breathtaking, Em."
As they waited for Jayden to arrive, Mandy's expression turned serious.
"Are you sure you trust this person?" Mandy questioned.
"He'd not want to do anything to destroy his name, fame, and character, so yes, basically I do," Emma replied confidently.
Mandy nodded. "A'ight, I get it."
Emma chuckled. "Be happy for me, girl! Not too many people in this world bags hot, fine-ass footballers."
Mandy teased, smiling. "A'ight, lover girl."
"Did you call your parents already to tell them you're staying at mine?" Mandy asked.
"Yes, I did," Emma replied.
"When would you be back?" Mandy inquired.
"Tonight, hopefully," Emma said. "And that's why you should be active. And if I can't, maybe early tomorrow."
Mandy raised an eyebrow. "Don't tear up your V-Card when you're there."
Emma rolled her eyes, laughing. "It's a dinner date; how much closure is possible?" She shook her head mockingly, giving a weird look.
Just then, the doorbell rang, ending their banter.
Mandy opened the door to reveal a chauffeur.
"Miss Emma, Mr. Jayden sent me to get you," he announced.
Emma turned to Mandy. "A'ight, Mandy, see you later."
Mandy hugged Emma. "Have fun, and be safe."
As Emma stepped out, the chauffeur offered his arm, leading her to the waiting limousine.
"Mr. Jayden awaits," he said, opening the door.
Emma's heart skipped a beat as she slid into the luxurious vehicle, anticipation building for the night ahead.
The chauffeur pulled up in front of the elegant, stucco-covered facade of El Patio, an exclusive, fine-dining restaurant nestled in the heart of the city. Soft Spanish guitar music drifted through the air, blending with the scent of tapas and fine wine.
Jayden stepped in front of the vehicle, resplendent in his tailored tuxedo, and opened the door for Emma. As she emerged, his eyes widened in admiration.
Emma's sky blue ball gown shimmered in the evening light, accentuating her curves and radiant smile. Jayden's gaze lingered, his expression softening.
"Stunning," he whispered, offering his hand to help her out.
Emma's cheeks flushed as she took his hand, her eyes locking onto his.
"You look...breathtaking," Jayden continued, his voice low and sincere.
Emma's smile faltered for a moment as she searched his face, sensing something deeper in his words.
Jayden's eyes sparkled with amusement. "You know, I almost can't wait to take that dress off you."
Emma's eyes widened, her face turning red.
But before she could respond, Jayden chuckled. "I'm only joking, Emma. You're safe."
Emma stared at him, laughing, almost wishing he hadn't said he was kidding.
Jayden offered his arm, leading her toward El Patio's entrance. "Shall we?"
As they stepped inside, the maître d', Carlos, greeted them with a warm smile. "Bienvenidos, Señor Jayden. Your table is ready."
The interior of El Patio was intimate and refined, with rustic wood accents, crisp linens, and subtle candelabra. Soft flamenco music floated through the air, mingling with the scent of exquisite cuisine.
Heads turned as Jayden entered, whispers and murmurs spreading like wildfire.
"Oh my God, It's Jayden!" One of the couples dining said out loud
A few diners approached, requesting photographs and autographs. Jayden obliged, charming and gracious.
"Mr. Jayden, may I?" a middle-aged woman asked, camera in hand.
Jayden smiled, wrapping his arm around Emma. "Of course, with my beautiful companion, please."
Emma's cheeks flushed as they posed together, Jayden's hand on her waist and the woman stood right beside them with her partner taking the picture.
After the brief impromptu photo session, Carlos escorted them to their table, set beside a floor-to-ceiling window overlooking a serene courtyard. A single rose adorned the table, its petals matching the hue of Emma's gown.
As they sat, Jayden leaned in, his voice low. "I'm glad you could make it tonight, Emma. You truly shine."
Emma's heart skipped a beat, her senses heightened by Jayden's proximity and sincerity.
Carlos poured wine, presenting the menu. "Tonight's specials include our signature paella and grilled seafood skewers."
Jayden's eyes locked onto Emma's. "What do you recommend, my dear?"
Emma smiled. "I'll have whatever you're having."
Jayden chuckled. "Well, I'm in the mood for something light. Carlos, I'll have your grilled pollo, please."
Carlos nodded. "Excellent choice, Señor Jayden. Our grilled chicken comes with a citrus-herb marinade, served with sautéed vegetables and a side of garlic mashed potatoes or salsa verde rice."
Emma's eyes widened. "That sounds delicious."
Carlos smiled. "Very well. Would you prefer the mashed potatoes or salsa verde rice with your pollo?"
Jayden thought for a moment. "I'll have the salsa verde rice, and Emma, would you like the same?"
Emma nodded.
Carlos noted their order. "I'll add some grilled lemon and herbs to your pollo. And to start, would you like some tapas? Perhaps our crostini or patatas bravas?"
Jayden glanced at Emma. "What do you think?"
Emma shrugged. "Surprise me."
Jayden smiled. "We'll take the patatas bravas, Carlos. And a bottle of your finest Rioja."
Carlos bowed. "Excellent choice. I'll bring your wine and tapas immediately."
As Carlos walked away, Emma leaned in, her curiosity piqued.
"Jayden, what's tapas?" she whispered.
Jayden smiled as he said, "So that's what surprise me is all about"
Pleased to share his knowledge, he started "Tapas are small plates of food, typically served before the main course. Think of them as appetizers or starters."
Emma's eyes widened. "Like a preview of what's to come?"
Jayden chuckled. "Exactly. In Spain, tapas are a tradition. They're meant to be shared with friends and family while you're waiting for your main meal."
Emma nodded, intrigued. "I love that idea."
Emma smiled, feeling more at ease. "I'm glad I'm experiencing this with you."
Jayden's eyes locked onto hers, his expression warm. "Me too, Emma. Me too."
As they waited for their tapas to arrive, the soft strains of flamenco music filled the air, adding to the intimate ambiance.
Carlos returned with a smile, bearing a tray laden with their tapas. "Your patatas bravas, Señor Jayden. Enjoy!"
