After my brief visit to her residence,she resumed her lesson with me as usual but we had to rush over some topics to save up lost time as school would soon reopen in a few days. She never told me what her final decision was or even brought up anything related to it. I waited for her bring up the topic someday,any day. We continued our usual routine like nothing ever happened. I even wondered if she was the same person who had cried that was now wearing a serious face like it could never show any emotions.
My lessons continued and I couldn't wait for it to come to an end someday.
My visits to the garden continued and Oliver was still there to receive me." Are you sure your mother was convinced?", I asked her," I don't know she can be very difficult sometimes,I just hope your words would soften her",she said," Are you sure?", I asked ," Yeah, Hundred percent", she replied but I scoffed in disagreement.
I turned to her and asked," I have always wanted to ask you, where was your body...you knew hidden?",I asked," Why do you want to know?",she asked," Just curious",I replied," Well it's in a room or rather small structure at the back of her house",she said," Can I see it?",I asked," Well,I don't think...". She was I interrupted by her mother's entrance.
She light from her torch light was blinding and I had to shield my eyes with my hands. I thought it was a security guard and knew I was screwed but she said angrily," Emily,what are you doing here at this time of the night. Don't you know it is against the rules to be out of your hostel at night?", she thundered," I was just...",I began but she cut me off ," To your hostel now!",she commanded and I began to walk away with her torch light still on me. I stopped suddenly and asked," But ma what are you doing here?", i asked. Although I couldn't see the expression on her face,I knew I had crossed a line as she screamed at me," Are you out of your mind? Who gave you the audacity to asked me my reason for coming out?",she asked me angrily," To your hostel now!",she ordered and began walking to my hostel once more as I didn't want draw any unwanted attention.
I laid on my bed and closed my eyes trying to sleep but couldn't so I just laid still . I heard the door open and closed but didn't open my eyes or moved. I felt her stare on me and I could feel her breath but I still didn't move or opened my eyes. After sometime,she left as I heard the door open and closed again.
Finally,I opened my eyes and I looked at the door. I turned to the other side and closed my eyes again. I felt a bit shaken.i had never imagined in a million years that I would one day get caught by her. I still couldn't answer why she was in the garden and what her reaction would be. I pushed the thoughts off my mind and tired to compose myself and get a good night sleep. Our meeting that night had come to an unexpected close unlike before and it wasn't a satisfactory one.
