He grunted low, pressing his forehead against hers, closing his eyes for a moment as if willing the world to stop.
Eric's fingers tightened in her hair, his other hand cupping her cheek, thumb brushing over the smooth skin as if to memorize her. "You're insane," he whispered.
"Do it again." She didn't need to touch him; the way she spoke, the tilt of her chin, the way her eyes glimmered—it was enough to unravel him.
"That's the thing, I can't. I can't lose control, Sera." Every muscle in his body wanted to close the distance again, to melt into her, to give in entirely, but he knew the danger of what might follow.
