"Have you ever heard of using a phone? To check for vacancies? To call home?"
"I do not own a phone!" she fired back, throwing her arms up. "And this is not my home! This is my prison!"
Eric's nostrils flared.
"Get into the house," he ordered. "And the next time you return home this late, I will show you what wardens do to prisoners."
"Go to hell!" she spat, storming past him.
"I am still your Alpha!" he barked, turning after her.
"I don't give a shit!" Sera snapped over her shoulder.
"You keep talking smack like that and I will have you locked in your room!"
Sera didn't look back. Couldn't. Her heart was pounding too hard, her throat tight. She pushed forward, her eyes stinging with furious tears she refused to let fall in front of him.
Benedict was standing by the front door, his posture rigid, eyes wide with concern. He'd clearly heard the entire thing.
"What part of do not get him angry do you not understand, Sera?" he scolded softly.
