~DAVEN
My eyes slowly fluttered open. I blinked and grunted as I tried to push myself up to a sitting position. My bones ached. It felt like I had been pushed off a cliff. I tried to yawn but my jaw ached.
I stood up, dragged myself out of bed and headed into my bathroom for a shower. It was swift. I stepped out and took out a loose white top and a black long loose plain trousers.
I walked down the staircase and headed for the exit when my mother ran into the living room. Her eyes are wide with shock. She walked up to me, taking each step carefully, like she was walking on eggshells around me.
She tried to touch me but she dropped her hand as soon as she brought it up to reach for me.
I looked away and cleared my throat.
"How are you feeling now?" She asked me with a small voice.
I nodded my head. I stopped mid-nod and then looked at her fully. My brows were furrowed in confusion.
"How did I get home?" I asked her.
