—DIEEEEE! —Bakugo shouted, causing a huge explosion where Kakashi was, giving him first-degree burns. However, Kakashi's burned body was replaced by a log. —It's not going to be as easy as with the other gray-haired idiot... —Bakugo muttered.
The real Kakashi was behind a bush five meters from the ash blonde.
"Hmm, that's a shame, but I won't be able to continue reading," Kakashi thought sadly. "But this might be more interesting than Icha Icha Paradise."
"What are you doing, Bakugo?" Kakashi closed his book and put it back in his kunai case. "Shouting only gives away your position. You seem too hysterical to be someone who's going to surpass the Hokage," Kakashi said sarcastically.
—DON'T TELL ME WHAT I HAVE TO DO, ONE-EYED! —Bakugo once again propelled himself with his explosions towards where Kakashi was. —DIE! —
Another explosion exploded, disintegrating the bush. Kakashi flipped backward and dodged it like nothing had happened.
"If you keep this up, you'll run out of chakra soon," Kakashi exclaimed.
—Tch. This old man is fast. Much faster than me with this body. In that case... —Bakugo thought, getting into position to sprint.
For the third time, he again propelled himself forward, running straight towards his sensei.
"I wonder," Kakashi said, disappointed, sighing. "I overestimated you. I didn't think you'd be so foolish as to keep attacking head-on."
Kakashi also ran toward his student, preparing to immobilize him. But to his surprise, just as he was about to grab him, Bakugo propelled himself to the left with a small explosion from his right hand. Taking advantage of Kakashi's moment of shock, Bakugo grabbed him by the vest and threw him with all his might to the ground.
—Heh. —Bakugo smiled happily,
But his joy was short-lived. Kakashi stood up from the ground with a move similar to breakdancing and kicked the blond, sending him flying. He didn't fall to the ground as he recovered using his gliding quirk.
"Tskk," Bakugo muttered, touching the part of his face that had been hit by his sensei. "Shit..."
"Congratulations, Bakugo. You've made me get dirty. However, I don't think that's what I asked for to pass the test," Kakashi said ironically.
—AHHHHHH! SHUT THE FUCKING MOUTH! —he started throwing explosions with his hands incessantly. —TATATATATATATATATATATATATATA! —dozens of medium-powered detonations went straight for Kakashi. —DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!DIE!—
Bakugo continued to use his quirk relentlessly, unsure if his sensei was still there as the smoke from the explosions covered his entire view.
"Ha, ha, ha, ha," Bakugo panted, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"Tsk, fuck. My arms hurt so much. My body isn't ready for the recoil from my explosions yet," Bakugo thought bitterly.
—COME ON, ONE-EYED MAN! GET OUT OF YOUR FUCKING HIDING PLACE! I KNOW THIS COULDN'T KILL YOU! —Bakugo yelled at the smoke. —Where the fuck have you been?—the ash-blond looked around.
He relied on his superhuman reflexes to attack at the slightest movement he saw in the smoke. What he absolutely didn't expect was a hand grabbing his ankle. He looked down at his foot and saw his sensei's hand sprouting from the ground like a flower.
—Where? I'm where you least expect it! Doton: Shinju zanshu no jutsu! —Bakugo was buried in the ground, leaving only his head visible.
"Fuck!" Bakugo wailed, helpless at being unable to move.
"I've played with you enough, Blondie. Stay here until lunchtime," Kakashi said, kneeling in front of Bakugo.
A pair of shurikens appeared from the forest, brutally impacting Kakashi's body. The shuriken-strewn body in front of Bakugo turned into a log. Sasuke took advantage of Kakashi's distraction to launch his attack, but the jonin, like Bakugo, was one step ahead.
Bakugo spent half an hour buried in the ground, staring up at the sky, recovering from his fatigue. Then, his Quirk helped him escape from his earthen prison. Not even the most skilled mole could have done it better.
The blond, terribly tired from using chakra, headed into the forest in search of his sensei. The search was fruitless, as the sound of his alarm clock made him realize that time was up.
Bakugo saw Kakashi, who was stopping the alarm clock, and Sakura and Sasuke who were resignedly sitting on the ground.
"You think like children, like kids," Kakashi said, putting his hands on his hips.
—Tsk. —Bakugo ran like never before trying to make his sensei explode.
Kakashi neutralized him with a series of Jiu-jitsu movements, leaving him immobilized on the ground, with a key grabbing his arm and a foot resting on his head.
"You first, Bakugo. You think you're so special because of that kekkei genkai you have. But you're not," Kakashi said in his ear. "Why do you think I put you on a team? Have you ever wondered about it? At no point have you considered the point of this test, which was teamwork."
"I don't need anyone to beat me..." Bakugo said in a whisper, his eyes narrowed.
"Hmm, have you seen the position you're in, Bakugo?" Kakashi asked rhetorically, scratching his hair. "As I was saying..." Kakashi trailed off as he saw the blond's only free hand glow with great intensity. "It can't be..."
Bakugo, still dominated by Kakashi's hold, managed to create the largest explosion since arriving in that world, even bigger than the one he used on Mizuki. Kakashi let go of Bakugo and barely managed to dodge the attack. Although he didn't completely dodge it, his vest and right sleeve were charred.
—Uffff. Damn, that hurts! —His right arm hurt so much he could barely move it.
"Is this the same Bakugo as the one from the Academy?" Sakura thought, stunned.
—Bakugo... —Sasuke thought with his eyes wide open.
Bakugo struggled to his feet, his right arm useless. He then walked toward his sensei, his eyes half-open from accumulated fatigue.
"Bakugo! What are you doing?" Sakura said indignantly. "Don't be reckless! You can barely stand! We must listen to sensei and work together!"
"The day I need someone's help is the day I'm dead," Bakugo said, ignoring the pink-haired girl and continuing on his slow walk.
—SHANNAROOOO! DAMN BAKAGO!—screamed my inner self.
"It sucks to admit it, but the one-eyed guy is stronger than me. But that doesn't mean I'm going to give up without even touching a bell," Bakugo thought.
"If you continue to use your chakra uncontrollably, you'll eventually faint and possibly even die," Kakashi explained, brushing ash off his vest. He then pulled a long piece of thread from his kunai holder.
—I don't care if I break, I don't care if I shatter... —Bakugo said with a broken voice. —I'll win... —Enduring the inhuman pain in his right arm, he extended it and his other arm. —STUN GRENADEEE! —
An intense flash of light blinded Kakashi, Sakura, and Sasuke for a moment. With what little strength he had left, Bakugo used his Quirk to use his last burst of energy and went straight for his sensei's bells, who were blinded by the flash of light. He managed to touch them, but the sound it made alerted Kakashi, who drove his knee into the blond's chin. Then, he knotted Bakugo like a spider would its prey, tying him up like a ball of wool. Finally, he kicked him like a soccer ball, sandwiching him between Sakura and Sasuke.
"This thread is made of a chakra-suppressing material. That way there won't be any more surprises. Where was I?" Kakashi asked.
Bakugo wanted to insult him, but he only had enough strength left to keep from fainting.
