Chapter 21 - Unleashed

It was already 7:30, and there was still no sign of Kakashi. The one most annoyed by his sensei's quality was Bakugo. Bakugo valued punctuality above almost everything else.

"That one-eyed bastard isn't getting away today. I'll kill that son of a bitch today," Bakugo thought, clenching his fist tightly and looking terrifying.

Finally, at eight o'clock sharp, Kakashi appeared as if nothing had happened.

"Good morning, everyone. How are you?" Kakashi said, with no remorse for being three hours late.

"YOU'RE LATE!" Sakura shouted.

—I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, YOU FUCKING ONE-EYED MAN! —Bakugo threatened.

"I had to help an old lady cross the street," Kakashi explained.

—AND CRAP! —Bakugo scolded him, pointing his index finger at him accusingly.

"Well…" Kakashi cleared his throat and walked over to a split log about a meter tall. He placed a sign on top of it. "Let's begin. It's scheduled for noon, so four hours from now. Your task is simple." He placed a hand in his pocket, showing the trio of students a pair of bells. "You just have to get these bells off me. That's all. If I don't get them by noon, you still won't get any food. You'll be tied to those posts…" He pointed to his left at three felled logs about two meters tall. "and you'll watch me eat lunch in front of you."

"One-eyed, lying rat. Thank goodness I didn't listen to him," Bakugo thought, looking with interest at the pair of bells he was holding.

—So that's the reason... —Sasuke thought, disappointed in himself for having fallen for his sensei's lie.

"He told us not to eat breakfast for this," Sakura thought, holding her stomach, which was growling with hunger. "So it would be harder for us."

"Wait a minute. There are three of us. How come there are only two bells?" Sakura asked.

"Hehehe," Kakashi laughed. "This way, at least one of you will end up tied to a post and disqualified for failing the test. You'll have to return to the Academy. But all three of you can fail. You can use any weapons you want, including kunai and shuriken. If you're not prepared to beat me, you won't be able to take the bells from me."

"Do you have to take off a bell to pass this test?" Bakugo asked.

—I think I've made it pretty clear.

—I know what you said, one-eyed! I mean, can I kick your ass to get past? —he explained.

"This guy..." Kakashi thought.

"Of course, if you think you're capable, I invite you to try." Kakashi said.

—Hehehe. —Bakugo smiled arrogantly.

"When I say go, you may begin. Ready... set... GO!" Kakashi shouted.

The response to Kakashi's shout was that his students disappeared from the scene, hiding in the forest. But not all of his students did. Bakugo stood there without moving a muscle. He stood with his hands in his pockets, looking the jonin up and down.

—Mmm... Bakugo, I think you skipped the Academy class that said ninja must conceal their movements and hide effectively. —Kakashi said with a drop on the back of his neck.

"Only cowards hide from their opponent," Bakugo replied. "Now that I know the rules of this test..." He pulled his kunai and shurikens from his back and tossed them aside. "I don't need these little toys to make you bite the dust."

"Crazy," Sasuke thought, hiding in the undergrowth.

"BAKAAAAA!" Sakura's inner self screamed. "You'll only get killed, Kakashi-sensei!"

"Yondaime was an understatement when he described him as a little arrogant," Kakashi thought.

"Compared to the others, you're a little strange," Kakashi said.

—The only weird thing here is your fucking tardiness. I'm going to show you with my fists that NO ONE makes me wait. —Bakugo exclaimed, cracking his knuckles. —YOU BETTER BE PREPARED, ONE-EYED!—

Bakugo ran straight toward his teacher, who stood motionless. Halfway there, he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Kakashi reach for something in his kunai holder.

"What weapon will he pull out? A kunai? Shurikens?" Bakugo thought, putting himself on guard.

—Ninja fighting arts, part one... Taijutsu techniques, the martial arts. —

—Taijutsu? That's hand-to-hand combat... Then... why is he looking for a weapon? —Bakugo thought, annoyed.

To Bakugo's surprise, what he pulled out of the kunai holder wasn't a weapon. It was a book titled Icha Icha Paradise (Erotic Paradise).

"What the fuck...?" Bakugo said, motionless and in shock.

"What are you waiting for? Move it," Kakashi ordered while reading his book.

—WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING READING A BOOK IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIGHT, ONE-EYED MAN? —Bakugo asked incredulously.

"I just want to find out what happens in the story," Kakashi replied, his attention focused on the book. "I hope you don't mind. With your attacks so weak, it doesn't matter whether I'm reading or not. So I'm making the most of my time. Let's see if I can finish the story today."

—GRRRRRR! —Bakugo growled, a vein in his forehead popping out.—DIEEE! —

Blinded by rage, he lunged at Kakashi, punching his unprotected left side. The jonin, with superhuman speed and reflexes, blocked the blow with his free hand. Bakugo didn't stop his attack and launched a flying side kick, which Kakashi only had to duck to avoid. Kakashi got behind Bakugo, making a seal with both hands.

"Never turn your back on the enemy, Bakugo," Kakashi said.

"A chakra-focusing seal? Is that the Tiger Seal? It's dangerous! He could kill Bakugo like that!" Sakura thought, alarmed and worried for her partner.

"That hand gesture is a fiery technique. He's not just playing with Bakugo, he wants to kill him," Sasuke thought, sweat pouring down his face.

—Konoha Village's Secret Technique! SENNEN GOROSHI! (1000 Years of Death) —Kakashi shouted

—Shit... —said Bakugo somewhat scared

Kakashi inserted the index and middle fingers of each hand into Bakugo's ass, and with some chakra propelled Bakugo a couple of meters into the air, falling heavily to the ground.

"That wasn't ninjutsu. He just hit him on the ass," Sakura thought, embarrassed.

"They're both clowns," Sasuke thought, a tear in his eye.

"So... where was I?" Kakashi said, turning a page in his book.

Bakugo had never been so embarrassed before. That feeling was quickly replaced by anger. The ash-blond stood up, shaking with rage. His hands created sparks of their own volition.

"You're dead..." he said in a very low voice, almost a whisper. "I don't care what happens to me next. I don't care if they lock me up for murder. But I swear, you're going to die today." A trembling, gruesome smile spread across his face. "DID YOU HEAR ME? YOU'RE DEAD, YOU FUCKING ONE-EYED MAN!"

He put his arms behind him, and propelled himself at full speed with his quirk towards Kakashi.

"What is that technique? He's not performing a seal!" Sakura thought in surprise. "Wait a minute... since when did Bakugo know how to perform ninjutsu?"

—Bakugo... Was this what you wanted to show me and Okaasan?—Sasuke thought, watching the fight with greater interest.

—Yondaime was telling the truth... —Kakashi thought.

KAKASHI'S MINI FLASHBACK WITH MINATO

—I understand why you assigned Sasuke to me because of the sharingan. But why do you want Bakugo to go with me? It doesn't seem like anything special. Wouldn't it be better if you assigned your son to me, Minato?—

"My son's weakness is genjutsu. Kurenai will be better able to help him with his weakness. On the other hand, don't underestimate Bakugo. He defeated Mizuki single-handedly," Minato explained to Kakashi.

"Mizuki? Even if he's not one of the most talented, he's still a chunin," Kakashi said, not fully believing it.

"He has a very interesting kekkei genkai related to explosions. He's a very mysterious boy. I tried to find out what happened to his family on my own, but I haven't been able to discover anything. I want you to keep an eye on him, Kakashi. He doesn't have an easy temper, but he's a good boy. I hope you can help him become a great ninja," Minato said.

END OF KAKASHI'S MINI FLASHBACK WITH MINATO

—DIEEEEE! —Bakugo shouted, causing a huge explosion where Kakashi was, giving him first-degree burns. However, Kakashi's burned body was replaced by a log. —It's not going to be as easy as with the other gray-haired idiot... —Bakugo muttered.

The real Kakashi was behind a bush five meters from the ash blonde.

"Hmm, that's a shame, but I won't be able to continue reading," Kakashi thought sadly. "But this might be more interesting than Icha Icha Paradise."
