—Well, and as for team number 7...—Iruka said.— ...Katsuki Bakugo...
"Finally, damn it!" Bakugo said impatiently.
—...Sakura Haruno, and... —Bakugo raised an eyebrow. He couldn't remember that person's name. Well, not anyone else in the class except for Sasuke. He didn't even remember his sensei's name. — ...Sasuke Uchiha.
—WELL! —Sakura shouted, getting up from her seat.
—SHANNARO! LOVE ALWAYS PREVAILS!—Sakura's inner self shouted.
"Then I won't be with Bakugo-kun..." Hinata thought sadly. "Ohhh..."
Sasuke turned his head back and stared at Bakugo. Bakugo stared back at him without blinking.
"The lucky girl with the big forehead is going with Sasuke!" Ino thought angrily. "And she's also going with Bakugo!"
Sakura, with a sixth sense, sensed that Ino was thinking about her, so she turned from her chair and gave her the victory sign.
—Haha. I win—said Sakura smiling.
"How did you get into that group?" Ino asked, a vein popping out of her forehead.
"I don't understand, why are you so angry, Ino? What do you see in a boy like Sasuke?" asked Shikamaru, who was sitting next to Ino. "He's not that special either."
"Jealousy is ugly," Ino snorted. "I couldn't stand being on your team."
—Next, eighth group...Hinata Hyuga...—said Iruka.
—Hai (yes), sensei—Hinata said aloud.
—Kiba Inuzuka... —Iruka continued
—Hehe. —Kiba smiled, glad not to be with Bakugo.
"And Naruto Uzumaki," Iruka said.
"Dattebayo!" Naruto replied, somewhat saddened at not going with Sakura, but at least he was going with his friend Kiba.
"The ninth group will be composed of Kase Oden, Nande Sipa, and Luna Lonzo," Iruka said. "And finally, the tenth group is composed of Ino Yamanaka, Shikamaru Nara..."
"Huh?" Ino said.
"Heh. Were you saying something about not being able to stand being on my team?" Shikamaru said mockingly.
"Grrr," Ino grunted in response.
"And Choji Akimichi," said Iruka, the last of the 30 to pass. "Everyone's here."
"No! I got the greedy boy too!" Ino lamented, watching Choji pull a bag of chips from his pocket. "Why did Sakura have such good luck and I had such bad luck, sensei?" Ino complained.
"Ino, the groups are designed to be balanced. For example, Sasuke is the best student in the class, so he had to go with Bakugo, who was by far the worst," Iruka explained.
—I SHIT ON YOUR FUCKING MOTHER, STRAIGHT FACE! —Bakugo shouted, standing up from his seat.
"I'M STILL YOUR TEACHER! SO HAVE MORE RESPECT, BAKUGO!" Iruka shouted even more intensely. Bakugo bit his tongue and sat down, not before trying to kill him with his gaze.
"I hope that loser doesn't get in my way," Sasuke thought.
"After lunch, you'll meet your new jonin masters. Until then, you're free to go. It's been a real pleasure spending so much time with you," Iruka finished.
"Thanks for everything, sensei!" almost all the students said at once. Bakugo wasn't among them, as he was praying for a huge rock to fall on his foot.
The hours passed, and the only jonin who hadn't gone to the room to greet his students was the one from group 7. The three of them were sitting in the classroom, Sasuke with his chin resting on his hands, Sakura with her head resting on the table and Bakugo with his feet up on his desk.
"Why is it taking so long?" Sakura wondered aloud.
"I don't know, and I don't care!" Bakugo said angrily. "I just know he's a dead man for making me wait so long!"
Half an hour later, Bakugo ran out of patience, got up from his seat and headed for the classroom exit.
—Bakugo, sit down! —Sakura ordered.
"I don't feel like sitting down, big-faced girl!" Bakugo responded rudely. "I'm getting out of here. No one laughs at me!"
"Buff," Sasuke snorted, fed up with his new teammates' arguing.
—SHANNARO!—Sakura's inner self thought angrily, cracking her knuckles.
—BAKAGO (baka + bakugo), YOU BETTER...!—Sakura fell silent when she saw a man with his face covered, except for one eye, and grayish hair appear in front of Bakugo, who was about to leave.
"Sorry for the wait, a black cat crossed my path and I had to take a detour..." the man excused himself, rubbing the back of his neck innocently.
—Mmmmm. —Bakugo narrowed his eyes, not believing a word the adult was saying, but he refrained from starting another argument.
"Follow me," the man ordered the trio of students.
The four left the building and stopped on the roof of a building with a railing, where the man sat down. The students sat on a step opposite the gray-haired man.
"All right. Why don't you introduce yourselves? One by one," the man suggested.
"Should we introduce ourselves? What are we supposed to say?" Sakura asked.
"Things like what you like, what you hate, your dreams, hobbies... Well, things like that," the man replied.
"Why don't you tell us first?" Sakura said.
—Mmm, okay. I'm Kakashi Hatake. I'm not going to tell you what I like or dislike. My dreams... —Kakashi said. —I've never thought about my dreams. And as for my hobbies... I have many.
"That's like saying nothing. He just said his name," Sakura whispered to Bakugo and Sasuke.
"Okay, it's your turn. The girl, you go first," Kakashi said.
—I'm Sakura Haruno. What I like... —She glanced briefly at Sasuke. —I mean, the person I like is... —She looked back at Sasuke, turning red. —My hobby is... —She looked back at Sasuke. —My dream for the future is... —Again, she continued to watch Sasuke. He, on the other hand, spent his time staring into space, in a melancholic manner.
"And what do you hate?" Kakashi asked, a tear on his neck.
—TO BAKAGO! —Sakura shouted, closing her eyes.
"STOP CALLING ME THAT, BIG FOREHEAD!" Bakugo replied, standing up and shaking his fist at her.
—MAKE ME, BAKA! —said Sakura also getting up from the step.
"Hehehe," Kakashi said, somewhat uncomfortable with the situation. Sasuke simply snorted. "Blondie, I'll give you some time to calm down. In the meantime, introduce yourself," Kakashi pointed at Sasuke.
"My name is Sasuke Uchiha. I hate a lot of things and I don't like anything in particular," said Sasuke, his mouth covered by his hands.
"Huh?" Sakura's eyes widened.
—Mmm. —Bakugo raised an eyebrow and looked at Sasuke out of the corner of his eye.
—What I have is not a dream, because it will come true. I am going to reestablish my clan and kill a certain person.
"I'll be the one to kill Itachi, Sasuke. But first, I'll find out why," Bakugo thought. He didn't say it out loud, not wanting to rub salt in the wound. Even if he didn't like him, he was still Mikoto's son. His conscience prevented him from being such a bastard to him.
—Just what I feared— Kakashi thought.
"Sasuke is so handsome," Sakura thought, her cheeks flushed.
"You're last, blondie," Kakashi said.
"I'm Katsuki Bakugo. Just know that I'll be your boss very soon, and one of my first orders will be to tell you to take off that mask. I want to see if you're as ugly as I think you are," Bakugo said with a smug smile. He wasn't going to let it go unnoticed that I'd made him wait over two hours.
"Considering you were the student with the lowest grade in the practical part... I think you're overestimating your abilities, Bakugo," Kakashi said.
"Grrrr," Bakugo growled. "There's only one way to find out, Cyclops." He began stretching for a possible fight with his sensei.
Sakura covered her mouth with her hand in fear, Sasuke instead looked at Bakugo with interest.
"Cyclops?" Kakashi thought with a raised eyebrow.
"Have you gone crazy, Bakugo? Stop acting like an idiot!" Sakura exclaimed.
"There'll be time to check it out... but not today, Bakugo," Kakashi said. Sakura sighed in relief. Bakugo couldn't hide his disappointment; he couldn't wait to beat the crap out of his slow-witted sensei. "You're all unique and have your own aspirations. We'll have our first mission tomorrow."
"What kind of mission are we going on, Kakashi-sensei?" Sakura asked.
"It's a task the four of us will do together," Kakashi replied. "Survival training."
"I thought we were going on a real mission. We don't want any more training," Sakura said, disappointed. "We've already done so much training at the Academy."
—This is not like your previous training at the Academy. —
—Stop bothering us and tell us what the fuck we're going to do, Cyclops! —said Bakugo, losing his patience.
—Hehehehehehe. —Kakashi laughed. Bakugo gritted his teeth, his new sensei irritated him too much.
"What's so funny?" Sakura asked her sensei.
"If I tell you the answer, you won't like it. Hehehe," Kakashi replied. "Of the 30 graduates who just arrived here, only 9 will be accepted as genin. The other 21 will be discarded and returned to the Academy. In other words, this is a test that will determine your success or failure. The chances of you failing are 70%.
Sakura's face contorted with terror. Bakugo grew serious, now seeing his sensei differently. Sasuke remained impassive, his gaze focused on his sensei.
"See? I already told you you wouldn't like it," Kakashi said.
"So what was the graduation test for?" Sakura asked.
"That was just to preselect candidates who could become genin. I'll decide whether you pass or not, so tomorrow you must demonstrate your skills to me. Report to the training area at five in the morning with your ninja gear," Kakashi explained.
"If I fail, I'll be taken away from Sasuke. This is a test of love," Sakura thought, really nervous.
"I must pass if I want to get one step closer to my goal," Sasuke thought.
—Heh. I'd be worried before. Now that I've got my Quirk back, I'm invincible. —Bakugo thought with a smug smile.
"That's it. You can go. Aaa, you better skip breakfast tomorrow or you'll throw it up," Kakashi said.
Bakugo was the only one of the three who didn't heed Kakashi's advice. After all, for him, breakfast was the most important meal of the day. He wasn't going to let anyone tell him what to do.
Bakugo, Sasuke, and Sakura arrived simultaneously around 4:55 a.m. Sakura was the most tired of the three, showing it with loud yawns. Bakugo and Sasuke, being accustomed to waking up early, showed no signs of sleepiness.
It was already 7:30, and there was still no sign of Kakashi. The one most annoyed by his sensei's quality was Bakugo. Bakugo valued punctuality above almost everything else.
"That one-eyed bastard isn't getting away today. I'll kill that son of a bitch today," Bakugo thought, clenching his fist tightly and looking terrifying.
