Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Judgment of Curses

Tokyo Jujutsu High was eerily quiet. Every television, every projector, every phone screen glowed with the same feed — the live broadcast of the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons. The entire world was watching Shinjuku and Kyoto burn in cursed energy storms.

Inside a dimly lit classroom, Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zen'in sat side by side, their eyes fixed on the screen. Gojo and Tenkai's overwhelming presence filled the footage — the earth trembling, cursed energy surging like storms of gods.

Maki exhaled, crossing her arms. "Tch… seeing those monsters fight makes me feel useless."

Yuta chuckled softly, but his expression was tight. "They're not monsters, Maki… they're humanity's hope right now."

Before she could reply, both froze. A pulse — heavy and suffocating — rippled through the air. The lights flickered. The television feed distorted.

Maki instantly stood up, spear ready. "You felt that?"

Yuta nodded. "A barrier… it's surrounding the entire school."

The sky above Jujutsu High turned crimson. Layers of cursed script wrapped around the campus like serpents, sealing everything off. Every transmission, every signal — cut.

From the courtyard, footsteps echoed.

A calm, sinister voice sliced through the silence."Ah, what a nostalgic sight. Jujutsu High… always a good place to start a massacre."

Out from the shadows stepped Suguru Geto — serene, smiling, draped in dark robes that fluttered against the cursed wind.

Yuta's heart sank. "Suguru Geto…"

Maki's grip tightened on her spear. "You bastard."

Geto tilted his head, ignoring her entirely. "Ah, Yuta Okkotsu. You've grown. That cursed energy of yours… it still reeks of love and pain. Perfect for my new world."

Maki spat, "Don't talk like you know him."

Geto didn't even glance her way. "Monkeys shouldn't interrupt sorcerers."

"Say that again!" Maki lunged — but a wave of cursed energy flared from Geto's hand, summoning several Grade 2 curses that lunged toward her.

"Keep her entertained, would you?" he said lazily, then turned to Yuta. "You and I have unfinished business."

The air between them cracked. Curses roared. Yuta's cursed energy flared blue as Rika Orimoto began to manifest behind him — her ghastly figure towering over the courtyard.

"You used Rika as bait, didn't you?" Yuta's voice trembled with rage.

Geto smiled. "Of course. The Night Parade was a distraction. While the world watches Tenkai and Gojo, I'll claim Rika… and end this pathetic system of exorcists and curses forever."

"Then you'll have to go through me!"

Yuta charged. Cursed energy collided like lightning. The ground exploded, shockwaves rippling through the barrier. Geto summoned dozens of cursed spirits that swarmed like locusts. Yuta's blade slashed through them — but for every one he cut, ten more appeared.

Geto's smirk deepened. "You're strong, but not limitless."

Suddenly — "SALMON."

A deep voice boomed. The curses froze — then exploded into black mist.

"INUMAKI!" Yuta gasped as Toge Inumaki landed beside him, mouthpiece glowing. Behind him, Panda crashed through a building wall, tossing aside curses like toys.

"Yo, Yuta!" Panda grinned. "Sorry we're late. Got stuck in traffic — curse traffic."

Geto sighed. "Children playing hero…"

He waved his hand, summoning a flood of new curses, splitting them apart again. Yuta found himself cornered by a hulking Grade 1 curse, its claws dripping venom.

"Damn it…" Yuta whispered, drawing a cursed megaphone — one of Tenkai's prototypes. The microphone glowed with embedded seals.

"Let's see if this works…"

He pressed the trigger."DIE."

The shockwave was instant — the entire building shuddered. All the nearby curses disintegrated. The Grade 1 screamed as its body shattered like glass. Even Geto staggered, shielding himself with a barrier.

He laughed softly. "So, he lent you that toy… how troublesome."

Before Geto could retaliate — the world around him shifted.

A courtroom materialized. Black robes appeared. Candles lit themselves.

A calm, resonant voice echoed through the void."Domain Expansion — Deadly Sentencing."

Hiromi Higuruma stood behind a floating desk, scales of justice glowing in his hands.

Geto looked around, frowning. "A trial, huh? How quaint."

"The accused," Higuruma intoned, "Suguru Geto. Crimes — mass murder, unleashing ten thousand curses upon civilians, conspiracy against the National Cursed Division."

Geto smirked. "Guilty as charged."

"Then judgment shall be passed."

The scales glowed blinding white. The gavel fell.

Verdict: Guilty — Punishment: Confiscation.

Light erupted — but instead of Geto's curse technique being taken, one of his massive special-grade spirits was ripped away screaming into the void.

Higuruma clicked his tongue. "Tch… not enough."

The courtroom shattered. They were back in the courtyard.

Geto brushed dust from his robes. "Cute trick. Unfortunately for you—"

Yuta lunged. Rika followed. Higuruma joined the charge, scales blazing.

The battle turned cinematic — an orchestra of light and destruction. Rika's cursed energy painted the sky violet; Geto's army clashed against Yuta's relentless fury. Higuruma's cursed gavel deflected hexes with legal precision.

Yuta remembered Tenkai's words echoing in his mind:

"In combat, never let your opponent breathe. Dominate their rhythm — or lose your own."

"Now!" Yuta shouted. Higuruma slammed his gavel down. Rika's hand struck Geto, launching him into the ground. Yuta's blade pierced through Geto's shoulder — tearing his arm clean off.

Geto screamed, staggering backward. "Rika… magnificent… I must have—"

Before he could finish, he teleported away in a blur of smoke and curses.

The barrier shattered.

Silence.

Yuta collapsed to his knees, exhausted. Rika faded beside him.

Hiromi exhaled, adjusting his glasses. "He escaped. But the damage is done."

Panda and Inumaki rushed over. Maki, bloodied but alive, leaned against a wall.

They had survived.

Meanwhile, in Shinjuku and Kyoto, Gojo Satoru and Kurotsuki Tenkai stood surrounded by several special-grade curses. The air cracked with divine pressure.

In unison, both raised one hand.

"Ryōiki Tenkai."

Two black spheres appeared — one in Shinjuku, one in Kyoto — devouring everything into absolute darkness.

Cameras around the world glitched. Commentators shouted over each other:

"Both Gojo Satoru and Kurotsuki Tenkai have activated Domain Expansions simultaneously!"

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is… beyond human comprehension!"

Inside the domains — silence. Then light.

When the darkness faded, only Gojo and Tenkai stood — untouched, calm, divine.

No curses remained.

The world cheered. Hashtags exploded:#DivineSorcerers #TenkaiTheZero #GojoSupreme #EndOfTheNightParade

News anchors screamed in disbelief; social media flooded with reactions:

"They're gods!""Did he just erase 10,000 curses in seconds!?""My screen froze — then BOOM! Gone!"

Moments later, Gojo appeared in front of a limping Geto near a ruined alley. They exchanged a quiet, sorrowful look — old friends bound by fate.

"Why'd you have to go this far, Suguru?" Gojo whispered.

Geto smiled weakly. "Because… I believed in something, Satoru."

A flash of blue. Silence.

Geto fell.

Tenkai appeared at Jujutsu High, finding Yuta sitting among the rubble. He knelt, checked everyone — alive. Relief softened his usually divine composure.

Later, back home, Tenkai's parents and Alice's family rushed to embrace him.

"You're safe…" his mother whispered.

He smiled faintly. "Told you I'd be home for dinner."

After the chaos, he showered, steam drifting around the room. As he walked out, Alice entered, eyes glimmering. She shut the door, heart pounding.

Without a word, she threw her arms around him.

"You scared me, you idiot," she whispered.

He smiled. "I'm here now."

Their lips met — a moment of warmth after a world of chaos.

Outside, the night sky over Tokyo shimmered with faint light — peace, for now.
