Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: The Unlucky Day of Yamauchi

Yamauchi sat frozen at his desk long after Tenkai, Alice, and Manabu left the room. The lively chatter of Class D faded into a heavy, suffocating silence around him. His friends exchanged worried glances, unsure whether to speak or leave him be.

The bell rang for lunch break, and soon Kanji Ike, Ken Sudo, Hideo Sotomura, Kushida, and Hirata gathered around his desk, forming a small wall of comfort and tension.

"Hey, bro," Ike started, trying to lighten the mood, "look, it's just a curse, right? The strongest sorcerer in Japan literally said he'd save you. You should be chillin'!"

Yamauchi stared blankly at his lunchbox. "Easy for you to say. You're not the one cursed by a game."

Sudo slammed a rice ball on his desk. "Then eat! You'll need the strength when that thing shows up. Maybe it likes people who skip meals less."

"Ken!" Hirata hissed. "Don't joke about it!"

Kushida smiled awkwardly, patting Yamauchi's back. "Come on, Yamauchi-kun. You'll be fine. The entire school's talking about you—you're practically famous now!"

"Yeah," Sotomura added dryly, "famous as bait."

"Gee, thanks," Yamauchi muttered, sighing into his food.

Across the classroom, Suzune Horikita observed quietly, her sharp eyes focused on the group. "They're acting like it's a minor inconvenience," she said softly.

Beside her, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji leaned back in his chair, arms crossed.

"What do you think?" she asked. "Can Kurotsuki-san really save him?"

Ayanokoji's expression remained unreadable. "If even half of what's been said about Kurotsuki Tenkai is true, then Yamauchi's survival rate just went from zero to a hundred. The real question is what kind of curse could make someone like him show up personally."

Horikita frowned. "You think it's that dangerous?"

He nodded. "You don't send a nuke to swat a fly. He's here because this curse might not be ordinary."

By afternoon, the rumor spread like wildfire across the campus. A student from Class D is haunted by a curse. Division 0's Kurotsuki Tenkai is here personally to handle it.

Fear and excitement gripped the student body. The cafeteria buzzed with speculation.

"Did you hear? It's a digital curse!""No way! From a phone app?""Can't believe Class D's involved again!""I heard Tenkai's defense makes him untouchable. Like, literally can't be touched!"

Within hours, the school's online store crashed. Every student tried to buy Kurotsuki Industries' Cursed Vision Goggles, rumored to let ordinary people see spirits. By 3 PM, they were completely sold out.

Even some teachers joined the hype, discussing whether they could get early access to new AI detection devices from his company.

Meanwhile, Tenkai and Alice explored the entertainment district of the artificial island. The school had everything—bowling alleys, cafés, even a mini cinema.

Students waved as they passed. Some nervously approached.

"Um, excuse me, Kurotsuki-san! Can we take a selfie?""Please sign my notebook!""Wait—your girlfriend's the Alice Nakiri?! Can you both look this way?!"

Alice laughed softly as Tenkai posed, throwing up a peace sign. "You're enjoying this too much," she teased.

"Hey, if Gojo were here, he'd have already opened an autograph booth," Tenkai replied, grinning.

The café door chimed open, and a soft, commanding voice entered. "What a surprise to find Japan's strongest sorcerer enjoying tea among students."

It was Arisu Sakayanagi, graceful and confident, her cane tapping lightly as her entourage followed.

Tenkai turned, smiling. "Ah, the famous Arisu Sakayanagi. You must be the chairman's daughter."

She smiled back. "Indeed. And you must be the man who made entire nations reconsider their security systems."

Alice giggled. "You flatter him too much—he already has an ego problem."

"Hey!" Tenkai protested, then added smugly, "Though she's right, I am that good."

Arisu chuckled. "Tell me, is it true a supernatural incident occurred within the school?"

"Yep," Tenkai replied nonchalantly. "One of your students downloaded a cursed app. Basically, ghost malware."

The girl blinked. "Fascinating. I must say, it's not every day one witnesses an NCD special-grade case live."

Alice leaned forward. "Do you have any hobbies, Sakayanagi-san?"

Arisu smiled proudly. "Chess. I've never lost a match."

Tenkai's interest perked up immediately. "Never, huh? Then let's change that. But, uh… first, you'll have to teach me the rules."

Her followers gaped. "He doesn't even know how to play!?"

Arisu blinked in disbelief but indulged him, explaining the basics patiently.

Three minutes later, the chessboard was a massacre.

"…Checkmate," Tenkai said, sipping his tea casually.

Arisu stared at the board, eyes wide. "Impossible… how?"

"Aion," he murmured in his head.

[Aion]:Quantum foresight applied. 11 million possible move sequences calculated. You just played perfect chess.

Alice smirked. "Told you. He's basically a walking computer."

Arisu laughed softly, regaining her composure. "You are as terrifying in intellect as you are in strength, Kurotsuki-san. I concede."

"Good match," Tenkai said, offering his hand. "Next time, I'll try with one eye closed."

By sunset, they met the chairman again.

Tenkai's tone turned serious. "At midnight, keep all students far fro

m the auditorium. I suspect a rule-based curse. Rare type. They follow strict conditions before killing."

The chairman nodded grimly. "Understood. The Student Council will handle the lockdown."

"Good. Don't interfere once it begins," Tenkai warned. "It'll get ugly."

Tenkai and Alice left the office, walking along the quiet, moonlit edge of the artificial island.

"It's peaceful," Alice said softly.

"Too peaceful," Tenkai murmured. His eyes caught movement — a lone figure walking toward them.

It was Kiyotaka Ayanokoji.

He stopped a few feet away, bowing slightly. "Kurotsuki-san. Nakiri-san."

Tenkai smirked. "So this is the famous prodigy I keep hearing about. You've got good posture — reminds me of a soldier."

Ayanokoji tilted his head. "You've been watching me?"

Tenkai studied Ayanokoji briefly. Aion's interface lit up in his mind.

[Aion]:Analyzing subject… latent cursed energy detected. Potential grade: high.

Tenkai's eyes widened slightly. "You… have the potential to become a Jujutsu Sorcerer."

Ayanokoji blinked. "…A sorcerer?"

Alice grinned. "He means cursed energy. Don't worry, he says that to anyone who breathes weird."

Tenkai continued, "You've got a stable cursed energy flow — rare for someone untrained. If you ever want, you could join Jujutsu High after graduation."

Ayanokoji hesitated. "I'm not sure that's my path."

Tenkai nodded. "That's fine. But remember this — uncontrolled cursed energy can backfire. A friend of mine once accidentally cursed someone he loved. She turned into one of the strongest cursed spirits ever."

"…That's tragic," Ayanokoji muttered.

Tenkai's gaze softened. "It's reality. Think about it."

He smiled faintly. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a date and a curse to kill."

Midnight.

In his dorm room, Yamauchi trembled as his phone buzzed violently.

[30 Days Challenge: FINAL TASK UNLOCKED]"Go to the Auditorium Alone."

"No… no, no, no…" he whispered, but his body moved anyway.

Students gathered secretly at windows and balconies, watching from afar despite the warnings. Teachers tried to stop them, but curiosity won over fear.

Yamauchi pushed open the auditorium doors. "Task complete," he whispered shakily.

The phone vibrated, then melted in his hand.

The floor rippled. A massive, lizard-like, cursed spirit emerged, eyes glowing red, its maw stretching open with a wet snarl.

Yamauchi screamed and stumbled back.

The curse lunged—

—and was instantly blown apart by a burst of pure energy that shook the entire campus.

Dust and rubble filled the air. When it cleared, Kurotsuki Tenkai stood calmly under the full moon, hands in pockets, smirking.

The students watching through drones and glasses went wild.

"HE'S HERE!""HE JUST BLEW THAT THING UP!""OH MY GOD, HE'S COOLER THAN IN THE BROADCAST!""Is he smiling!? He's SMILING while fighting a demon!"

The curse roared and charged again.

Tenkai didn't move. Every strike bent away from him like reality itself refused to touch him.

"Cute," he said casually. "But you're not my type."

The spirit screeched, slamming again and again. Nothing worked.

Alice watched from afar, amused. "He's showing off again."

Finally, Tenkai cracked his neck. "Alright, fun's over."

Cursed energy wrapped his arm as he stepped forward and punched once—

Black Flash.

A shockwave ripped through the night, and the cursed spirit disintegrated into nothingness.

Tenkai exhaled. "Unluckiest curse I've ever met."

The crowd watching via drones exploded online.#TenkaiBlackFlash trended within seconds.Clips of the battle flooded feeds. "THE KING OF CURSES STRIKES AGAIN" was on every timeline.

Students in dorms screamed, teachers fainted, and Yamauchi, trembling on the ground, burst into tears of relief.

As the ashes scattered into the wind, he turned to Yamauchi, who sat trembling.

"Next time," Tenkai said kindly, "don't download random midnight games."

Then he took Alice's hand, walking away under the moonlight as the entire school watched in awe — and the world of Advanced Nurturing High School finally understood what true supernatural power looked like.
