"Okay, thanks for your visit ma'am!"
Looking at the leaving customer I nonchalantly nodded my head.
This 24 hour-open grocery store was perfect for me, with occasionally a few customers coming, I can easily surf the Internet on my mobile in my free time.
"Finally it's 9 p.m."
"I can go home now!"
My shift was about to be over, because of Rainaziel, I almost lost this wonderful part-time job.
Thankfully, after heavy bargaining with the store owner, I managed to get the shift from 1 pm to 5 pm.
Today, working late was just an exception. In this supernatural city, it was too risky to work once the sun set.
Since the high school's time is from 8 am to 12 pm, there should be no problem working here.
"After getting this new bloodline, it's like I am always full of energy and this is only 25% fallen angel bloodline power. What if it's 100%?"
The feeling of being inherently strong was naturally making me overconfident.
Just when I prepared to end my shift, a strange girl entered.
With her burgundy short hair, gothic clothes, and lolli-like figure, she definitely had a unique charm of her own.
Then she looked towards me, her eyes were erratic like she had found something unique.
"Huh?"
The strange girl sniffed twice before sizing me from up to down.
"A fellow Fallen Angel clansmate?"
She naturally rushed towards me.
"I am Mina, it's my first time seeing you in the city!"
"Who are you?"
A series of questions were immediately hurled towards me.
Fellow clansmate?
I was taken aback by her sudden words, but quickly figured it out.
The only connection that could be between us was my new bloodline power.
Giving my best smile, I slowly replied.
"I am Elandor."
"An orphan who just arrived in this city. Please give me advice, senior!"
Learning from my previous life-death experience, I was extra cautious in my approach this time.
"Good, as a newcomer in the faction, your tone is quite humble!"
"That's how you respect the elders!"
With a wide grin, Mina continued.
"With the unstable magic fluctuations that your body is emitting, you should have just awakened your bloodline."
Mina covered her mouth with her slender hands and chuckled.
"But still…. You got courage!"
"In this city, where various races are gathering for the supreme prize, you, a mere rookie, dare to participate in the competition?"
Mina exclaimed with amusement.
What supreme prize? What competition?
My mind was full of question marks, but somehow I held back my curiosity.
Looking at this girl who seemed a bit friendly, I tried to probe further,
"Senior, I am just an orphan who coincidentally came here to study."
Perhaps the girl read my perplexed face, her voice became playful.
"Today, I am in a good mood! Looking at you being so dumb, I can tell you something important."
"As a newly awakened, you must learn to hide your magic powers, otherwise, if rival factions discover you, they might kill you directly."
"It's very easy, just focus on your mind and try to feel an invisible switch. Once you touch it, you can make your magic power go dormant until you need it again."
With an arrogant smile, Mina raised the corner of her lips.
Following her lead, I closed my eyes and began to concentrate, straightaway, I felt an invisible switch she talked about. With a little effort, I mastered this technique.
Unable to sense any further magic fluctuations from me, Mina gave an approving nod.
"Nice, you learned this trick in one go!"
Since this gothic lolli was overly friendly, I continued.
"I will be thankful to you if you can explain all the above things clearly like the supreme prize and competition whatsoever."
Even though it seemed cheeky, I decided to take my chance.
"Haha!"
"Hahahhahahahaha!"
"If I tell you such important things in advance then there will be no fun."
"You gotta discover it on your own, but yeah, be careful, other people aren't nice like me and you might lose your head."
Mina spoke mischievously.
"Actually, I came here after sensing the smell and magic of my fellow clanmate."
"But who thought that instead of my sister, I would meet a novice here?"
She spoke like she was expecting something more.
Seeing me about to speak again, she interrupted me.
"I was just strolling around, don't act like we are so close."
Mina grumbled in dissatisfaction, her face slowly started distorting.
The change in her attitude was 180 degrees…. once again clearly showing these supernatural women were all unstable in their brains.
"Just join our damn social media group, you can learn these things there slowly."
Mina's words carried a subtle impatience, it seemed she wanted to end things here early.
"Sure!"
I hurriedly shared my contact number with her in case she changed her mind.
Within seconds, on the major social app Wize, my phone beeped as I was added to two different groups.
The first one was named- Fallen Angel Faction of Chazgarh, with 7 members.
But looking at the name and number of members of the second group my eyes almost pooped out...
