Breakfast with Papa was great, surprisingly great. Taeryn actually enjoyed it, watching his papa and Rihan talk like old friends, as if the entire conversation from last night had never happened at all.
But the appearance of Gil-Woo still sat wrong in his chest like a stone.
Taeryn knew his parents still stayed in contact, but if Gil-Woo showed up at the party because of him, then why? For what reason?
And the way Papa had told him to "have fun"…
That was his papa's polite way of giving him permission, the green light, to kill Gil-Woo if the man dared to approach him. And Taeryn was grateful for it. Nothing about Gil-Woo was good. Nothing about him ever had been.
It still baffled Taeryn how his perfect papa ever fell for someone like that.
Once breakfast ended, Sangwon told them he was heading to a conference meeting. Taeryn and Rihan informed him they were leaving that night, and Sangwon simply said he would return in time to see them off.
