Rihan blinked at him with just the kind of calm that made the air seem thinner.
"Are you going to leave," he asked, "or not?"
Gil-Woo stiffened. His jaw clenched, and in a petty attempt to regain dignity, he tugged sharply at his tie, smoothing it down like that could hide how shaken he was. He took another small, but noticeable step backward.
"I think you underestimate me, Detective Seo Rihan." His tone wavered between arrogance and something dangerously close to fear. "I have every resource necessary to ruin you. You might be Taeryn's bitch, and Sangwon's whatever, but you don't have the right to stop me from getting what I want."
Rihan almost laughed. Out loud. He had truly never met someone so spectacularly stupid.
Forty-eight hours. That was all he'd spent around Taeryn and Sangwon, and even in that short time, it was painfully obvious that neither of them gave a damn about Gil-Woo.
