The entire court was silent. Every single eye stared at me, waiting. Their gazes burned into my skin, torturous and hungry. Who wouldn't want to see the white-haired Lancaster princess—the one who had once ridden a dragon, owned one, been considered powerful—now stripped bare before them?
They all sat there with their slaves positioned beside them like pets, waiting to watch me be completely destroyed.
"I will repeat myself one last time. And I promise you, if you disobey, I will make you watch every single one of your pack members die."
I froze. My pack members. They were alive. And he was threatening me with their lives.
I turned to stare at him, and when our eyes met, he stared back at me with so much anger and hate that it felt like it would burn me alive.
