Jin Hai remained stunned in his place. He turned around when he heard Xin Ye screaming. He looked at her and couldn't understand anything.
"Why are you screaming?" Jin Hai yelled. He was frustrated because Chronofang had disappeared and the girl was crying.
Jin Hai shot Xin Ye and killed her. Xin Ye was stunned by the bullet that pierced her forehead. She fell lifeless to the ground.
Chao Xiang looked here and there and tried to find Chronofang, but he could not see either the weapon or Chao Xiang.
Suddenly, a huge door opened. Jin Hai turned towards the door and was frightened. Then bats emerged and attacked the Jin Hai. Puppets, deadly small-sized worms, and dark spirits also emerged from there.
"Someone save me... Argh! Save me!", Jin Hai cried in pain.
The puppet attacked Jin Hai and killed him. Chao Xiang reappeared. He saw Xin Ye's dead body. His grip tightened on Chronofang.
Chao Xiang raised his weapon, gripping it with both hands, and a blue light emanated from it. Chao Xiang mumbled something and lowered Chronofang.
Xin Ye's eyes were wide. Hearing everyone's voices, she came to her senses and looked around. She looked at her hands and legs, which were intact. There was no bleeding on her shoulder. This meant Jin Hai hadn't shot her in the shoulder yet.
"No! Don't go there.", Xin Ye said. She can't let Jin Hai to touch the Chronofang.
Jin Hai turned. He was fed up of this lady because she was stopping him all the time. He loaded his gun and shot towards Xin Ye. But Mu Yang stood in front of Xin Ye, and the bullet pierced his chest, killing him instantly.
Xin Ye got down on her knees and touched Mu Yang's face.
"How did this happen? How did I arrive at this time? The bullet that was supposed to hit my shoulder was taken by Mu Yang on his chest! Did Mu Yang also know that we came in the past? That means Jin Hai must know too!", Xin Ye thought.
"Damn it! Mu Yang died because of you! He was very useful to me! He died because of you! Now you will take me inside that tunnel.", Jin Hai said.
Xin Ye got up from her place. She felt terrible seeing Mu Yang's death again and was overcome with guilt that her crush had died that time.
"Walk fast!", Jin Hai yelled.
Xin Ye saw the tunnel and went inside. Jin Hai and his bodyguards also started crossing the tunnel. Xin Ye closed her eyes, feeling that the invisible ray would hit her at any moment.
Xin Ye entered the hall and was surprised she wasn't hurt in any way.
"Is this Chronofang?", Jin Hai asked surprisingly.
"Yes!", Xin Ye replied.
"Bodyguards! Kill her! She's of no use to me anymore," Jin Hai said.
The bodyguards went to kill Xin Ye, but Xin Ye quickly ran away. Bodyguards were searching for her here and there, but Xin Ye hid in a corner.
Jin Hai touched the Chronofang and tried to pick it up. But the weapon was very heavy. It didn't move an inch from his place.
Xin Ye was watching quietly from the corner. Chao Xiang's sculpture appeared there but no one else saw it except Xin Ye.
Xin Ye hugged her knees and watched. The sculpture came to life, revealing Chao Xiang in his true form. At this point, Xin Ye covered her mouth and didn't utter a single sound.
The bodyguards were terrified to see Chao Xiang alive and immediately started shooting at him, but not a single bullet hit Chao Xiang's body.
Jin Hai turned back and saw that Chao Xiang was alive. He trembled violently in his place. He hadn't expected the demon to come back to life.
The huge door opened, and spirits, puppets, worms, and other creatures came out. Bats attacked the bodyguards, and puppets attacked Jin Hai.
Soon, everyone was dead except Xin Ye. Xin Ye didn't move from her spot. Her condition was very bad because of fear.
Chao Xiang turned the Chronofang towards Mu Yang and his dead body levitated. Blue rays emerged from the weapon and penetrated Mu Yang's body. Then Mu Yang's body exploded, his body parts and blood spread here and there.
Xin Ye's eyes became wet and she felt very weak with fear. She blinked and just then Chao Xiang appeared before her. They both looked at each other.
"Mu Yang used to work for Jin Hai. I've been in Mu Yang's body ever since you people found me. And that book was written by my father, which I had to solve and through which you came here. One day Mu Yang was carrying that book and proofs from your building to his boss and I walked into his body. I was supposed to have a benefit. When I would touch Chronofang while I was in his body, he would die and I would come back to life. But you stopped me that day. But today I'm back.", Chao Xiang said.
"What will you do now?" Xin Ye asked.
"First, I'll go back and kill her! I'm immortal and I'll rule this world forever, I am the demon king! No one can kill me!", Chao Xiang said.
Xin Ye looked at Chao Xiang. Chao Xiang stared at her.
